You missed the point. The point was in the second paragraph. Dalton isn't any sort of answer.
-
I don't care if he sets up permanent residence in the locker room as long as he stays out of any and all football decisions. But I'm not holding my breath waiting on that happening.
-
This is the one part of the plan that pretty much everybody agrees on... ...except maybe David Tepper
-
He faced arguably the best one last week. But the reality either way is that Dalton is nothing special.
-
See above.
-
He's got an obvious, proven option in Kevin Colbert. I agree it's possible he goes for somebody else though. Whoever it ultimately is, it needs to be someone who's proven they know how to build a winning team in the NFL.
-
I'll go back to what I've been saying for a while... I don't really want David Tepper choosing who to fire any more than I want him choosing who to hire. That said, I do think there are some issues with Reich that he needs to clean up.

Against one of the worst defenses

I'm not worried about whether it brings out the best in Young. I want a fallback option in case he proves to be bad. -
Dear Dave, Also, hire a consultant and keep your stupid ass out of football decisions.

There's not a whole lot of choice in our situation. The one thing I do want to see next year is a veteran backup who can serve as not only a mentor, but also as competition If things are improved around Young but he still doesn't look good. Right now, I absolutely don't feel comfortable evaluating him under the conditions in which he's being asked to play. -
Unless we're also getting a new owner, it's not likely to matter.
-
Not unless he understands that he's the person most at fault.

Yeah, that's a myth. Nobody doubts that Newton was a franchise quarterback, but we still lost more games with him than we won. -

Stroud was the guy that I wanted, but objectively speaking, the team has done a terrible job of helping Young out. -
Because we're running a scheme that doesn't fit our line personnel. They were good last year, very good, because we primarily used a run heavy scheme and man blocking. Between the scheme mismatch and injuries, Campen is not one of the primary guys to blame.

You seriously think Bryce is the only problem with our offense? I wish that were true. That'd be an easy fix. -
Campen shouldn't be, but I won't be surprised if he is.

I don't know that Levis was anything special today.

I'm not ready to say that Stroud would have fared better in our offense though. -
I could have potentially seen a middle screen given that they were coming with a hard blitz but I can't be certain it would have worked any better.

Stroud's play prior to that wasn't good either.
