C Mays / LT Christensen LT vs C Christensen / LT Ekwonu
Mr. Scot replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he gave up anything today, I didn't see it. -
I'm watching our game quietly On the couch next to me, Lady Cowboy Fan is screaming at the Cowboys game on her laptop.

I'm curious whether one of those guards can play right tackle. -

Not in favor of writing off Ekwonu. Moving him, though... -
Frank Reich said Bryce was his guy too. Was he? Every guy we draft is the guy we targeted; every free agent is the guy we really wanted, etc. etc.

No we don't. Any notion that he opposed every bad decision is highly unlikely. The idea that he simply rubber stamped everything isn't realistic either. The tales in the above post, though? Those represent valid and accurate critique.
-
All of this analysis is valid.
-
Which also means we don't know what his opinions were on any of those decisions. I'm not high on what I've seen from Morgan so far, but it isn't fair to blame him for actions taken when he didn't have final say. Mind you, the decisions we've seen him make since he did get final say haven't impressed me. It's still way early, though.

There are a lot of different ways to fail. At this point I think we've probably seen most of them. We actually had a pretty good offensive line the year before. Then we went to a zone blocking scheme despite having road grader types manning the line and everything fell apart.
-
Doesn't really say much good for him...or us, honestly.
-
I'd agree, and heaven knows I'm no fan of David Tepper. I believe Morgan and Canales are indeed making their own decisions. They might not be good ones, but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't their own. I don't doubt that our leadership is capable of failing without David tepper's help.

Not at this point. He's gone.

https://x.com/Colts/status/1851649968970387779?t=oAcjkHdLnQDvSzfqVaejjg&s=19 Some posts aren't embedding now for some reason Basically, the team is signalling that this isn't a "temporary" benching. Flacco is the starter "going forward". Starting to wonder if they've soured on him.
-
You're always gonna have guys who won't say anything negative about a teammate. And Canales has made it pretty clear he doesn't want dirty laundry aired. Stuff has a way of getting out eventually though. Won't surprise me if we hear stuff down the road.
-
This isn't a defense. It's an analysis. Good Plan / Poor Execution doesn't equal good GM.

Here's the report. Took me a minute to remember where I saw it. I don't really see that as a positive statement about the team.
-
The plan was solid, and pretty common. Lots of teams build that way. Unfortunately, the execution was subpar, especially at the most important position.
-
He's likely a QB coach next year. Speaking of which, the QB coach we fired is currently helping revitalize Sam Darnold in Minnesota.
-
I'd say it's legit, point being that we weren't going to get any great offers. Likely the whole league sees us as a poverty franchise, and they treat us accordingly.
-
Build from the trenches out, fortify the defense, get the skill players set, then draft the quarterback. A lot of that actually did get done. Unfortunately the lynchpin was Bryce, so...
-
Being reported that the Ravens offer was the best we got. (two other teams were in talks)
