  1. Also, to be clear, Anderson seems to be reporting this more from the Vikings side than ours.
  2. "...if the Panthers are willing to take on some of Theilen's contract to facilitate the trade" Yeah, lemme think about it
  3. First I've seen. Some online sources are acting like it's news to them as well. Guess nobody pays attention to Florio anymore
  4. Update: Apparently this happened last year but may not have been widely reported... I don't remember seeing a thing about it
  5. Just saw a story that somebody shot a bullet into Andy Reid's office, looking for details...
  6. Anything that coms from David Newton requires context.
  7. I would add IF we get a good offer. Theilen would need to be agreeable to the idea, of course. (not certain that's true)
  8. "If you don't know former Carolina Panthers linebacker Tre Boston..." No, no I really don't
  9. There are occasional big trades during the final preseason week, but it's definitely not the norm. There's also the guarantee factor for vets on the roster Week One that makes a lot of teams wait till Week Two to go after veteran players
  10. Assuming he doesn't push for a trade. Though again, I doubt he has any real leverage.
  11. Also this... To be clear, Avery stated that he is not talking about race, but have no further clarification that I saw
  12. Pretty sure we interviewed Peters for the GM job when Rhule was here (they were old acquaintances). As I recall though, he noped out of the second round. Always figured he balked at the idea of being second in command.
  13. Also, to be fair to Michael Vick, it typically takes about 20 years to fully learn the West Coast Offense
  14. Just saw this... I get that as an agent, it's his job to advocate for his client. I question whether he really has a leg to stand on here, though
  15. I feel like Darnold is a guy that can have a partially good season, but never a complete one. To his credit, he did at least improve the number of games he was capable of looking good for after he left us
  16. Get off my lawn Reid coached Vick for a while. It helped, but ultimately Vick was still Vick. One of the maxims I swore by for years was to never sign a free agent QB from Reid's system because they never looked the same anywhere else. Would that apply to Mahomes? Difficult to say. I might lean no, but it applied to McNabb. Doubt that theory ever gets a true test, though.
  17. Most of the guys I would have considered elite have retired.
  18. Never said he wasn't legit, but I don't put him on the level of someone like Mahomes yet. But I'd also add it wasn't just his team. Allen himself made his own fair share of mistakes as well.
