Please Tepper do the right thing and go hard after Jim Harbaugh
Mr. Scot replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
That would have been pretty difficult to do while coaching the 49ers. -
Belichick has stated that he's willing to step away from personnel decisions. (I get the impression the Patriots are willing to have him do that too)

Meanwhile...

Turns out Panther fans aren't the only ones who are pissed off...

Jordan Schultz was probably the first to report it, and to confirm that the interest is mutual. Same is true of Harbaugh and the Raiders. -

A couple of different sources have reported that -

After which he had a revolving door and an owner telling him what to do at quarterback. I'd wait on Steichen being consistent before making too much of him. People we're ready to crown Chip Kelly after his first season as well. -

So did Reich his first year. Hell, his first couple of years. -

Reich worked for Jim Irsay. (not that working for David Tepper looks much better right now) Either way, doesn't have as much to do with what they've done as what I think they will do. -

Pretty sure it was a college football guy on their show -

It was both. There were players that hated him too. There was a whole story about it on NFL.com at the time it happened (pretty sure Rapoport wrote it). -

I get the harbaugh hype. I just don't buy it. Talk to me when he's a consistent success in the pros without players getting tired of him. (If that happens, I wouldn't bet on it being with us) -
Every few years, the NFL latches on to a favorite Rooney Rule candidate that nobody takes all that seriously but who helps teams check off the boxes. That might be Morris these days.

Nah, nothing on you. I just didn't see how it posted until your quote

Haven't seen corroboration from a single source anywhere. There are guys I'd listen to solo. Mac and Bone aren't among them. -

At the college level, after 9 years... He's not one at the pro level yet, and he might never be. I should probably add that mantras like "he's a champion" and "he's a winner" have about as much effect on me as "he's a leader of men". -

How long did it take him to beat Ohio State? Hell, college is his element yet a few years ago people were speculating that Michigan might be ready to move on from him. Harbaugh the coach reminds me of Terrell Owens the player. Fans everywhere were always saying it would be different if he just came to play for us, yet everywhere he went it was only a short time later that they were ready to be done with the experience. It won't surprise me if Harbaugh ends up having a similar legacy. -

Which would mean not at all because nobody is a sure thing. -
Twitter user somewhere suggested reuniting Vrabel with Arthur Smith. Gotta admit, that idea sounds intriguing for them.
-
FYI: can't edit now but my original quote should have said "saw it suggested" not "so I suggested". The idea did not come from me
-
I doubt that was ever a serious consideration.

Morgan's role with the Panthers was expected to focus on pro-personnel since that's his background. With that said, it doesn't matter so much what we think of decisions that he was part of as it does what Tepper thinks.
