  1. Multiple analysts have indicated that overall this year's wide receiver class is nothing special. I'm always on board with reinforcing the front though.
  2. 3-4 vs 4-3 Is about your front seven. Once you get back to the secondary I don't know that it's makes any huge difference.
  3. We're also supposed to have a super smart DC who can do more with less, so yeah...
  4. One of the things I've heard repeated several times by Fitterer (Reich too, I think) is some form of "we appreciate him empowering us to make decisions and backing that up with his wallet". In basic terms, that amounts to writing checks and getting out of the way. I don't know whether that or a backhanded compliment like "well at least he's not f--king sh-t up anymore" qualifies you to be called an asset, but it's an improvement and I'll take it.
  5. Yeah, I don't know that I'd be ready to call him an asset just yet, though I am prepared to stop calling him an asshole. We've said for a while that what he most needed to do was defer to the football people, and it looks like he's finally doing that.
  6. Breer doesn't think so... In the article, one team guy said his impression of Levis's interviews was that he was trying too hard to say the right thing instead of just being himself. Sounds possible that the pressure of the whole draft process may have messed him up a little. That said of course, inability to handle pressure in these situations is a red flag of its own.
  7. And then the chargers tried to do the same thing with Justin Herbert
  8. Solid comparison given that Mills also played for a football team based in Philadelphia
  9. There was speculation that the Eagles were going to take him.
  10. Possible insight on Levis from Chris Mortensen...
  11. Technically retired. Either way though, he's not making the pick. That'd be Joe Schoen's job now.
