  1. If we like three quarterbacks as much as has been discussed, is that really leftovers?
  2. David being a Buc is one of those things I'm just kind of used to seeing. Him not being one would be odd. This offseason could see a lot of changes, not just here but around us also.
  3. If he were to come aboard, I'd expect Theilen to play a Ricky Proehl type role here.
  4. Given current expectations, I'd consider that a yes.
  5. Have tried hard to do so but that's not so easy. Mind you, I don't really think he's going to be an option for us anyway, so...
  6. The connections between Levis and our current staff are definitely something you have to pay attention to.
  7. I tend to prefer more accurate types. Bryce Young fits damn near everything that I would want in a quarterback, but Lord have mercy that frame CJ Stroud has referred to himself as "a ball placement machine" which is something I really like the sound of in the kind of offense were likely to be running. Levis and Richardson both strike me as guys who you take based on their physical traits and then try to work on refining their actual quarterback skills. Not a fan of that approach at all, but given some of the things I've heard Scott Fitterer say lately, I acknowledge that's a possibility for us with Levis. Just have to hope that the coaching staff is as good as we believe they are.
  8. How many others here remember Reggie Howard?
  9. Stafford was a very high production thrower. Levis seems more like a big balled, fireball throwing gunslinger type. You can win with that type of player. You can also lose badly.
  10. He reminds me way more of Brett Favre than he does Zach Wilson.
  11. The team his said consistently (and repeatedly) that they're not trading Brian Burns.
  12. Jets trade with the Ravens...for a safety
  13. Here's the analysis Kaye is referencing... Levis is an inconsistent player on tape, but he possesses ideal size, arm strength and athleticism. He is a power thrower, capable of fitting the ball into tight windows at the second and third levels. However, he needs to get more consistent underneath. He has bad misses, especially when throwing to the left. He tends to close off his front side, which severely impacts his ball placement. I admire his toughness to stand firm in the pocket, but his lack of awareness leads to him taking some monster hits, spawning ball-security issues. He moved around much better in 2021, showing quickness and power as a runner. This past fall, due to his own injuries and a lesser supporting cast, he wasn't as effective. Overall, Levis is gifted, but has some bad habits he needs to clean up in order to be a reliable NFL starter. ... Kaye has stated several times that Levis is somebody the Panthers like a lot.
