I get it, but I really lile how it works out for us. Love not having to give up that 2025 first rounder.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I've read, re-read and triple read the compensation package to be sure I understood it right. It's certainly below what the Bears were said to be expecting. Yeah...I'm happy

I know a lot of folks think this means the decision is already made but I kinda doubt that. Pro days, interviews and a sh-load of meetings are still to come. Breer pointed out this gives us plenty of time to make that call.

What were we gonna do? Promise Steve Wilks a job if he went along with doing something he was already suing the league over? I've been hugely against trading up to #1 because of what I feared we'd have to give up. This wasn't anywhere near that bad.

To move up from #9 I thought we'd have to give up three first rounders plus a player and maybe more high picks. If I'd have known we could do it at the price we did I'd have been on board with this a long time ago
