  1. Link for those who want to read it... It's a good writeup.
  2. The Vegas oddsmakers predicted our next coach would be Jim Harbaugh...more than once.
  3. Robinson at 12 would be a hell of a story. Lotta people don't seem to think he makes it past the Eagles, but anything's possible.
  4. I'm worth much higher than a third round pick Oh wait...
  5. If I were to tune in on draft day and watch the team take Will Levis, I might have to stay off the internet for a few...decades
  6. I definitely believe they can. I also believe that even the smartest guys in the world can sometimes be wrong. Just have to hope they're not
  7. I don't really give a damn about odds. The people who make those don't have inside connections. The rest is all pretty much speculation. The team's done a pretty good job keeping a lid on leaks since the trade. I expect it'll be Young, but it past drafts have taught us anything, it's that you never know.
  8. Autocorrect is a tool that was birthed in the pits of he'll
  9. Heck, we've got people who were arguing for Matt Rhule that slunk away for a while after he was fired then sheepishly returned acting as if nothing happened. Such is The Huddle
  10. This might conceivably be a separate discussion, but re: the draft chart...
  11. It feels like there's one guy pre-draft who rises big then falls big on damn near an annual basis. Maybe this year that's Richardson.
  12. I've said elsewhere that if we did something like trading down or taking Stroud, I'd laugh hysterically, and I would But it has zero to do with the Huddle. The fun would be in watching all of the established media that's been saying it's Young for weeks now falling all over themselves. But again, regardless of what we do or who we take, the only thing that really matters is that we get the right man for the job.
  13. That's the heart of the question. If the Panthers are as equally "convicted" on Stroud as they are on Young (and yes that's genuinely possible; multiple reports confirmed that they had at least two guys in mind when they traded up) then a trade down scenario truly does make a lot of sense. If not, then no reason to move. My ultimate answer to the whole thing is I don't care who they take or where they take them as long as it turns out to be the right choice. To quote Metallica, nothing else matters.
  14. I get the age argument (yes you might have them for fewer years... might) but there's something to be said for maturity too.
  15. There are reportedly teams who have Hooker rated above both Levis and Richardson.
  16. I don't think it happens. But with that said, if we picked the right guy and also got extra picks back, hell yeah
  17. Nah, he actually meant #2. It was pure speculation, and per his own admission unlikely, but that's what he said. Reading between the lines of some of his more recent stuff, I think he's regretting that he ever said it
  18. Funny you should mention... Caplan points out that if Richardson slides out of the top ten and the Texans don't take a quarterback second overall, they could conceivably pick him up at #12. Wouldn't that be interesting
  19. He threw it out as kind of a "what if" thing. He actually seems to be kind of regretting it now (I think both Richardson fans and Stroud fans are pestering him about it) When asked, he said he still believes the pick would be either Young or Stroud... most likely Young.
  20. I would start my negotiation with "so we've been talking to the Colts". Hell, I'd call the Colts just to scare the sh-t out of the Texans
  21. Kaye says what a lot of people are thinking...
