From his latest mailbag (Link) From Ricky Dawson (@metmyneeds): Who do you think the Panthers are going to take at the number one draft slot? Thanks. Ricky, I don’t know, and they don’t know. I understand people are having trouble believing this, but Carolina really did move up feeling very comfortable about a couple of the quarterbacks, while wanting to give the four top guys a fair shot through the process. That’s where the flexibility to trade down comes in: If the Panthers feel like three guys are worthy of the top pick, maybe they’d drop a couple of spots to recoup some of the capital that they gave up in making the trade with the Bears. The Texans could be an interesting team to keep an eye in that sense. Houston considered moving up to No. 1, and the Bears looked at the double trade scenario, where they’d have gone from one to two to nine. Ultimately, Houston may not have been quite ready to pull the trigger, but if the Texans get hot on, say, Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud, it might make sense for them to give up a pick to go up, particularly since they’ve already went through the exercise with Carolina. Now, if I had to guess? I’d say Young is the leader for the Panthers, but I think Stroud has advocates in the building, and this isn’t close to over yet.

So first we hired a head coach whose daughter worked in the marketing department. Now we're signing a player whose sister-in-law is a team photographer. This nepotism stuff is getting out of hand

Moore certainly had his critics here, with the most common complaint probably being that some felt he was more of a #2 receiver that we were trying to make into a #1. I had a former co-worker (Cowboys fan) who wasn't exactly a fan of Moore when he was drafted. His statement to me was that we would come to regret it. Can't say I ever came to that point, but I do understand some of the criticisms.

Since it doesn't look like they're bringing Cam Erving back, he might fill that "mentor" role.

I tend not to pay attention to that stuff so that's probably why I have no context here

Damn, guys We signed everybody and their brother and filled loads of needs this week. Plus there's still plenty of time left in free agency and the draft yet to come. It doesn't all have to be done right now.

Is that all?

No news is no news.

I feel like I'm missing some context here

Wishing the Riot guys would have used a different phrase -
Outside of the 90s he's had a similar success rate.

Mike Kaye mentioned him... Imagine he could also reach out to Gannon or Steichen.
