I think there are people who would believe Reddit or a random Twitter site if it told them they didn't exist

Makes sense. I've said all along I wouldn't expect something like that to occur but crazier things have happened. Never forget that anything is possible.
-
I wouldn't call that "a massive haul". (I also wouldn't call that a deal I'd expect us to take)
-
People talk like there's some kind of intrinsic value to the #1 pick, or there's something special about being able to say you got the first quarterback in the draft. Yeah...None of that is true. The first quarterback in the draft can just as easily be Baker Mayfield as it can be Peyton Manning. There's nothing magical about that position. And hell, I'd suggest there's more credibility in saying you got your guy later rather than sooner. The Chiefs can crow that they got arguably the best quarterback in the league 10th overall. So frankly, as long as we get a guy who can finally be our franchise quarterback, who gives a sh-t whether we picked him at #1 or #12? I damn sure don't. And if we can get that guy plus additional picks that can be used to build around him, to quote well-known philosopher Steven Austin, hell yeah!

It feels like somebody in the top ten does something incredibly stupid or at the very least highly unexpected on a pretty regular basis. It's always fun to see...as long as it's not us.

Where do you "rank" Burns as Panthers all-time DEs?
Mr. Scot replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty much. Kinda hard to rank any player on an all-time list until his career is over. -
In this case, I might change the phrase to Occam's Bullsh-t
-
We get our franchise quarterback and a massive haul of picks? Hell yes it's worth it!
-
Us? Or us trying to scare the Texans into thinking we're considering trading the pick to the Colts? ...or maybe just some dumbass on Reddit making sh-t up

Aaron Rodgers finally traded to Jets
Mr. Scot replied to Ocpanthertew714's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thanks for that image (the man is in his 80s) -
I predict years of those jokes if this were to happen.
-
Yeeeeaaahhh...it doesn't mean anywhere near as much as you think If you're actually stupid enough to believe there's going to be some sort of massive fan revolt if the Panthers don't take the quarterback you want, I can't help you. Even if fans boo the choice, who gives a rat's ass? The only thing that matters is whether we win.

You screwed up the lyrics. The verse actually goes "My opinion doesn't mean sh-t"

Kyle Trask?

I dated an insurance adjuster for a few years. Based on the stuff she told me, you couldn't get me in one of those things at gunpoint She's also the reason I park far away from other cars. At least when I drive...which isn't much anymore. (there's likely a handicapped placard coming in my near future)
-
Yep. Hell, a significant portion of the fanbase probably isn't even following the draft that closely.
-
I wouldn't say I've ranked all four. Beyond the two I'd want, I don't honestly care.
-
I'm guessing you missed the part where I said I don't give a damn if they do. And again, neither does the team. Wouldn't bet on it anyway, but even if they did they'd all be back around to cheering for the team by opening day. Hell, probably by preseason week 1. Dumbass fan tantrums don't mean jack sh-t. Philly fans booed the McNabb pick, then spent a decade cheering for him. All that matters is winning.

You're a poo poo head
-
I'm guessing you know Stroud is my pick, with Young second. I'm ultimately not in favor of either Levis or Richardson because I don't like the "take an athlete and teach him the quarterback skills" model. I always prefer taking the guy who's already got the quarterback skills
-
How hard is it to understand I don't give a sh-t, and neither does the team. They're going to pick the player they think will do the best job. It's not up for a fan vote, nor should it be. I would add that I wouldn't bet on you knowing the temperature of the entire fanbase
-
I thought the phrase was "pissed in your corn flakes". Honestly, I wouldn't bet on Will Levis having said anything. The whole story is probably bullsh-t.
-
I don't buy the notion that the team is "dropping breadcrumbs". Nor should they. The team doesn't owe the fans advance information. And frankly, they'd be silly to let any such thing get out there given that other teams could be paying attention too. Huddle hissy fits aside, the fans will ultimately get behind whoever the team picks, including the people who actually silly and proclaim they'll stop being a fan.
