Honestly, yeah. Preseason losses, even bad ones, don't bother me.
-
It's the standard line either way... ...and it's correct.

How are you feeling after the first preseason game?
Mr. Scot replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like it was a preseason game. -
Here we go
-
Tyson Bagent looking decent in Chicago...
-
I saw a tweet the other day that called him "Robbie Chosen"
-
Uh, yeah...Fields did nothing to extend that play. He threw a quick screen. DJ Moore did the rest.
-
The head coach is a rookie too...and a defensive coach as well.
-
Jim Irsay having patience?
-
I prefer to think the Matt Rhule era was just a nightmare we all had. (an ugly, stupid, unqualified nightmare)
-
Most of them are showing up in t-shirts. This one scared me though... I thought it said "Rhule"

how important is it that we win preseason games?
Mr. Scot replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
Mostly agree, but the one thing I'd add is while it may not be important to win the game, I absolutely want to see us look good. Particularly the starters, but the depth players performing well is also a plus. -
Which is funny because Carroll is a defensive coach by trade and they've been through a rotation of offensive assistants.
-
Reminds me a little of Jeff Garcia. Put him in a West Coast system and he looked great (even with that odd circular windup he had). Put him in any other system though...yikes. It's possible Caroll the Seahawks might have just been really good at building and working around him.
-
I'll watch the whole thing because...I'm me Keeping the grandson today though. He'll likely complain because it'll be cutting into his PlayStation time
-
Things have changed a little since they pared the preseason down to three games. A lot of coaches are still adjusting.
-
I guess I did too, then. That said, I won't take any pleasure in seeing Stroud fail if that happens. The only thing that would give me any consternation would be Stroud succeeding and Bryce not.
-
...is here. It may only be preseason Panthers football, but it's still Panthers football. And as mentioned before, for the first time in a few years, I'm actually excited to see it. New staff, new roster, new players, shiny new young quarterback... I'm ready

Tony Dungy calls out the Commanders...

Also looks like a rookie in his first preseason game. Not gonna read too much into it but yeah, he didn't look too good.
-
It kind of depends on how you do it. Being an old school guy, I'm all for being tough and building winners. But even with that, there's a right way and a wrong way to do it. Mike Ditka of all people criticized Bill Parcells for his approach. He said Parcels would break guys down until they believed they were completely incapable of playing football unless he was their coach. How true is that? Don't know, but it doesn't sound like something I'd be in favor of.

I thought I saw him in there somewhere. -

I vaguely remember us having a player from Louisiana some time back. I've forgotten his name (I think he played quarterback)
