If the stories about Tepper "heavily influencing" the choice of Young are true (and I believe they are) then yes, I would say he's safe.

I hope so, but I'm not convinced. Tepper is being ripped all over the place right now, rven by people who are on board with firing Reich.

It happened before that. Holder had an extensive story about Reich's last year in Indianapolis and the absolute sh-t show that resulted in Jim Itsay hiring (and trying to keep) Jeff Saturday as his head coach. I'm sure Reich was happy to get away from Irsay, but then he got stuck with David Tepper.

I think part of Holder's point is that he had an interfering owner with the Colts as well. In that case, one who actually dictated to him who he'd start at quarterback.

What we really need is an owner whisperer.

This doesn't exactly bode well for us either...

I question whether we're going to get good candidates given the reputation of our owner and the general toxic atmosphere of the team environment. If I were putting out a wish list though, besides Ben Johnson I'd look at Frank Smith. It could be argued that his experience with Tua makes him a better option for Bryce Young. If there's a change at GM, I'd try for Will McClay in Dallas.
