  1. Yeah, sure Basically, your view boils down to "I'll believe what I want to, facts be damned". If the reports don't match up to those beliefs, then you're just dismiss them because per your own words "David Tepper is right in the room with you". You're also conveniently skipping over the fact that Tepper has defined his 'involvement". Specifically, he asks questions and tries to ensure that the process is solid, but neither makes nor tries to influence decisions regardless of his own feelings. I'm surprised he didn't tell you that when he was sitting next to you
  2. That probably depends on which staff you're talking about. Rhule's staff? Yeah. Shawn Jefferson coaching him though? That I'd be on board with. Regardless of who coaches him though, it sounds like the biggest challenge is going to be keeping him healthy.
  3. No real argument with any of that. Sanders has always been primarily about Sanders. Lady Cowboy Fan likes Deion because of his Cowboy ties but that's it.
  4. You sure? I thought the answer was to throw tantrums on a message board
  5. I definitely don't on't defend everything Gettleman did (hated the Vernon Butler pick, for example) but I do maintain he was still the best GM we've had, undeniably the most successful. A lot of people emotionally hated him for the Smith thing, which leads to stupid takes like "Marty Hurney was better". Neither am I sugarcoating anything Fitterer has done, but I understand it's deeper and more nuanced than a lot of people are willing to admit, especially given Matt Rhule's arrangement. I mean hell, one of your own fellow mods has tried to argue that Rhule didn't really have final say despite that being well documented. That's what I call "derangement" (or dumbassery, If I'm being honest) Bottom Line: Emotional takes are way more common here than logical ones, and I kinda doubt someone in your position would deny that.
  6. Yeah, those rumors were just that. Reports since then have shown otherwise. Of course I know you won't believe those reports if they don't support what you think happened, so... Can't be true
  7. If course you don't And yes, 20 years of experience with a successful team is a good resumé, not to mention he'd had several interviews prior to that.
  8. Yikes Don't they have a tendency to take this kind of player though?
  9. I feel like a lot of people are flunking history right now
  10. Tepper doesn't make those kinds of decisions. Even he himself has said he's not qualified to be a scout or a personnel guy.
  11. This has always been a dumb narrative. Multiple strong candidates came in and interviewed (total of 14 if I remember). More than one has since become a GM somewhere else. The only guys who pulled out of the search were Adam Peters (got a huge raise and new title) and Ed Dodds (insisted on full control for himself).
  12. Rhule. That's documented in multiple reports. The veteran QB decisions were all made by Rhule. Fitterer badly wanted to draft and develop a rookie but didn't have final say.
  13. I don't know that Rhule would have genuinely been on board with taking Herbert. He never really wanted to draft and develop a rookie. His "plan" for Corral bbore that out.
  14. Some people so desperately want to be right about wanting him fired that they'll refuse to believe any report that gives him credit for something good.
  15. My home state and it's largest educational institution, ladies and gentlemen...
  16. Wanna debate metaphors? Seriously though, no two rebuilds are alike, but they are boiled down to seeing what you have, fixing what you don't, etc.
  17. Not really sure what happened here...
