Do you believe in Williams, though?
-
Wouldn't go that far, but thanks
-
Not like it'd be the first time...
-
Correct. Someone pointed out McCarthy has a pretty good record against the Bears.
-
Chicago has long been where quarterbacks and offensive coaches go to die.

He didn't elaborate that I saw. Caught this while I was looking, though... I signed up, trying to get my old ass back in the swing of things after being down so much last year

Not the world's biggest Trevor Lawrence fan but if I'm choosing between him and Caleb Williams...

More about Johnson... THe mention of wanting "alignment" with the front office could mean a couple of things. He might have someone from Detroit he's hoping to take with him. If so, he could be looking for a team that's doing a full house cleaning (but not the Jets). In light of the rumor that he wanted to go to Jacksonville, it's worth pointing out that at least for now the jaguars have retained GM Trent Baalke (heaven only knows why) but owner Shad Khan has stated that the next head coach will report directly to him. Is that "alignment"?

The news is interesting, but I'm struck more by how Kaye frames the story as one of the "top three silliest things in three seasons of silly things". Ya think Mike has an opinion on how the organization's been run of late?
-
That's not necessarily a terrible take. Some guys do way better as staff members than they do as the guy in charge.
-
Holy sh-t, an embedded tweet Russini seems to think this might have something to do with the Jets not asking to interview Johnson (so far, at least). Johnson has apparently reached the status of being able to decide who he will or won't talk to.

Dan Campbell has a condition called Ballus Maximus.

Antonio Brown responds in typical Antonio Brown fashion...

I'm not even giving thought to what he used to be. Doesn't honestly concern me. What he is now and what he's going to be over the next few years are my focus.

Dividing it into what I can say and what I can't say... Can say: The Bryce Young We saw for the better part of this year was damn good and deserves to be leading this team next season. Can't say (yet)... Bryce Young is a franchise quarterback who should be the quarterback of this team for the next decade. It's not guaranteed that I'll be able to make that second statement in the future... ...but it is possible.

Like when Phil Snow supposedly had the second best defense in the NFL...

A lot of the NFL coaching carousel is finding out whether guys who are really good at one skill set can also be good at another. You wind up learning that some guys are just always gonna be better off as coordinators or position coaches.
-
Yeah, that's a big disadvantage
-
Didn't we start off the season with one of theae type players on roster? Hill is obviously a more talented version, but basically the same prototype.
-
It didn't work that well for me when I tried it

This is an accurate take. I had a similar thought, my phraseology being "As of this moment, Bryce finally looks like the the guy we thought we had drafted".
