Person saying Colin Jones has made it too.
-
I can see keeping Nate Chandler.
-
In fairness, aren't these the same kind of guys who say they know what Cam Newton is thinking?
-
Like Evan Mathis? Word was he hated then Panther OL coach Mike Maser.
-
Hadn't seen that in any of the stuff I read on him. If true though, I'd agree. That said, being unemployed has been known to light up a lazy rump or two.
-
Gettleman has certainly seen him play. Watkins and Dennis Roland (Bengals tackle) are names that intrigue me right now. Watkins was only drafted two years ago though. I'm guessing he'd be subject to waivers.
-
Did a little research. Kelly insists on OL guys that can play multiple spots. Watkins is only a guard. He was benched last year, but Evan Mathis was benched in his Panther days too. Maybe we can return the favor the Eagles did us
-
Just saw where the Eagles are dumping the guard they took in the first round of 2011, Danny Watkins. His road to football was an unusual story and he wasn't going to be a starter this year. He started 18 games in the last two, albeit on a lousy line. Gettleman would know about him from Eagles-Giants games. Wonder if he's worth a look. He's a little older than most third year guys (28). Might just be that he didn't suit the offense Chip Kelly was going to run,

Montgomery is the one his Panther linemates used to call "Cartman". I remember having the impression they didn't necessarily like him all that much. Could be wrong...
-
Speaking of special teams aces, 49ers just let go of Kassim Osgood. He has Rivera ties from his Charger days. Don't know if he's as good as he used to be though (age 33 now).
-
I'm told Smith got a real kick out of the news he was staying Poole, on the other hand, felt like he'd just taken a cleat to the nuts
-
Colin Jones might be a better 'ace', and I think he's cheaper. Ya never know.
-
Eleven left. Deadline is 6pm.
-
I think they had a few former Panthers in camp. R J Stanford was in camp with someone too, if I remember right?
-
He was decent. If I remember right both he and Dave Ball went to the Titans.
-
Someone else mentioned Tim Shaw. He was a good special teamer.
-
There have been a few. Evan Mathis is probably the biggest at the moment, but there are others. Other names that come to mind: Stevie Brown, Andre Brown, Jovan Haye, Dave Ball, Jarrett Bush
-
It's nice to have choices. Thanks, Chris
-
Roh legitimately made plays too. I think Horton is PS eligible. Only complaint about Roh is when I see his name I think 'Rut'
-
Definitely have the reading glasses - wearing them now - but my grey hairs are more than 'a few' (my brother and I both went grey right after we hit 30). Still, got a girlfriend who looks like she's in her early to mid 20s but is actually in her late 30s. So looks like a young lady, acts like an older one. Best of both worlds. Guess I can't complain too much
-
These days, you should probably add an 'i' to that title
-
Eleven by 6pm, more if they pick up someone from another team's cuts. Still could be more turnover in the days that follow (I'd expect it).
-
He's a guy who made plays in the preseason and got himself noticed. That's what ya gotta do. He did it. Robert Lester didn't. Heard someone say they thought Russell played 'tentatively'.
-
It's "Anderson Russell" guys, not Russell Anderson Think Anderson Cooper with a different last name
-
I fixed it I'll give ya the others, but I think Anderson Russell and Melvin White have legitimate shots at making it, especially Russell. Edit: Guess we got word on White. Good for him.
