What I thought of when I saw this thread title... I didn't watch the clip because I was afraid I'd see them die -
Not logic. Rankings, based on week one performance. Week one is all too often an illusion. Prior seasons will tell you that. hence why I say we don't know as much as we might think we do just yet.
-
Technically, they are the second best in the league at this point.
-
You didn't see an aggressive defense yesterday?
-
Because it's easy to find a competent OC who just happens to be available in week two of the season, right? And hey, installing a whole new system in mid-season after you spent an entire training camp and offseason learning this one? No problem! It's simple. Heck, I do it in Madden all the time. That's just like the real world, right?

I can say they probably would have had 14 against a good defense, if not for... For a season opener? Yeah, I'd say so. Week one is always sloppy for most teams, and we definitely had our bad moments (drops, dump mistakes, penalties, etc) but we were indeed in it up to the end. Like I said, in a season opener, I'll take that over getting blown out anyday. They did. They fumbled. They dropped. They made mistakes. But again, I expect that in week one. Bottom line for me: I'm not ready to project an entire season of failure from a week one loss, and a close one at that. If the team still hasn't won by week four or five, or the mistakes continue and/or get worse, then we can talk.

I'm not happy with losing to anyone. I am less angry when we play well overall against a very good team. And I am never ready to panic and bench/cut/fire everybody after only one game.
-
My parrots do that.
-
Good chance DE number five will be inactive on game days.
-
Better than cutting him completely. Don't see there being a whole lot of teams going after him.
-
For the moment...
-
Brian Folkerts, backup center.
-
That means IR. That possibility crossed my mind.
-
Hate to break this to everyone, but as I understand the rules, cuts just have to be made by 6pm They don't necessarily have to be announced.
-
Me too There is also the possibility they could be on the phones trying to trade with somebody, but I don't think that's likely. That kind of thing might be more likely tomorrow or the next day, if at all.
-
Possible. Also could be there just trying to notify everybody. If you were on the bubble, would you answer your phone today?
-
Late edition. Has only been around for a couple of weeks, I think. I believe I remember seeing him blow a play in preseason two or three.
-
No. He said Nakamura stays too.
-
Person saying Colin Jones has made it too.
-
I can see keeping Nate Chandler.
-
In fairness, aren't these the same kind of guys who say they know what Cam Newton is thinking?
-
Like Evan Mathis? Word was he hated then Panther OL coach Mike Maser.
-
Hadn't seen that in any of the stuff I read on him. If true though, I'd agree. That said, being unemployed has been known to light up a lazy rump or two.
-
Gettleman has certainly seen him play. Watkins and Dennis Roland (Bengals tackle) are names that intrigue me right now. Watkins was only drafted two years ago though. I'm guessing he'd be subject to waivers.
