  1. Honestly, a lot of employers could say/do the same thing. Worth remembering in this case that although it is his private phone, it was in use for something related directly to his work. Since it can rightly be said that he was "conducting business", they're not really invading his privacy. All that said, don't be surprised if Brady's agent makes a similar argument. Right now, he's out there throwing everything but the kitchen sink at this, trying to minimize it and make the NFL look bad. Given that it's already been pointed out that some of what he's been saying is just patently false, I'd say he's making himself look bad - and by extension, Brady - more so than the league.
  2. I've seen speculation that Klein is unhappy about being overshadowed by Kuechly. Now that's only speculation of course, so it's essentially meaningless.
  3. As a hybrid position, absolutely. And he's never played it before because - outside of the pros - no one has.
  4. Brady wasn't forced to do so. Neither were the two other guys, but they chose to cooperate. Brady didn't. Yes, it's his right, but that doesn't prevent the league from taking a dim view of it and thus, choosing to lengthen a suspension. If you wanna say a suspension for this violates his rights, you'll have to show me where the Constitution guarantees the right to play in the NFL.
  5. I suspect if it's something minor like one or two games, 31 other teams are likely to cry foul (starting with the Colts).
  6. Rookies always are at this time of year. Good to hear he's seeking help, though.
  7. It's reportedly not a question of "if" but "how many games". Report: Brady suspension will be announced next week
  8. No player ever wins or loses games "by themselves". The whole idea is ridiculous.
  9. Per Zod, the Panthers actually don't believe that La'El Collins is a "quality left tackle". They saw him as a second rounder, and a right tackle only.
  10. I can't believe there's 28 pages here about a guy the Panthers considered a 2nd round right tackle prospect. Continue flogging yourselves if you want, folks. I'm not that broken up about it.
  11. I'm not upset about anything, so I have no need to protest.
  12. Understood, but I don't buy that it's as big a loss as people think. If he's not an LT, who do you replace?
  13. If the Panthers didn't see him as a left tackle, then honestly there wasn't really a good place for him. The guards are set and they have Remmers and Williams for the right tackle spot.
  14. The Panthers (and some other teams, actually) didn't necessarily see him as a good left tackle prospect. They had him graded as a second round talent.
  15. You should become a Cowboy fan in protest.
  16. Understood. I'd say a lot depends on the progression of Kony Ealy.
  17. The fact that Brady is a colossal prick helps too. People love it when pricks get busted.
  18. I love the Huddle... Pre-Draft: "Watch Gettleman take a pass rusher and ignore the holes on offense." Post-Draft: "We're thin at defensive end!"
