  1. I don't think I'd put Prescott in that category, maybe not Goff either. Purdy and Tua are debatable but I could see it.
  2. And here's your hot take of the day courtesy of an old friend of ours...
  3. About the same as those guys. Putting it another way: Matt Rhule's coaching tree has as many Super Bowl wins as Bill Belichick's.
  4. His coaching tree is just as terrible as his drafting.
  5. Yeah. That's the sort of thing a professional should do. Not what happened here unfortunately
  6. I'd been leaning that he might. There were reports suggesting it. But with the story that's come out since, I just don't think it's possible. You'd be asking a head coach to come into a situation where the GM helped sabotage the previous coach. That just isn't gonna work.
  7. Fallout from the Athletic story by Person and Russini... Ouch
  8. He's hit or miss, but I think he's likely right in this case.
  9. Also, @Panthercougar68, If you have any rumors about me being gone, I'd appreciate you letting me know
  10. It would be near impossible to do that kind of reset over one offseason. Typically you replace the GM first, then maybe after the draft you start making changes to other personnel people if you so desire.
  11. If the standard for being able to bench Young is that you're going to be back next season, I'm not sure anybody has that authority As far as who I would leave the decision up to, probably Jim Caldwell.
  12. Montez Sweat takes a shot at Ron Rivera...
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, Tommy DeVito's agent...
  14. At least trying that still would have been better than what they did, especially if they hadn't gone shotgun. The fourth and one where they went shotgun with an empty backfield was particularly bad.
  15. Ran for over 200 yards, then called pass plays on short yardage, including from the 1 yard line. That's not what I'd consider "a well-called game".
  16. Two factors most likely, the first being reputation. And his association with Sean McVay certainly didn't hurt. The second being that Tepper wanted Reich to build a staff from outside his circle. Part of that was seeing what happened with Matt Rhule but also there was the story of Brian Daboll doing that in New York and succeeding. Of course, that's not exactly playing out well in year two
