  1. Nor should they when someone else's life has been taken.
  2. The deflator, ladies and gentleman. (or "die flatormaus" for you fans of German classical music)
  3. Meetings can indeed be planned, of course. Won't be shocked if one is shortly planned with us too.
  4. I think we'd be idiots if we tried to pull a stunt like that. Very few "proven" players would be worth that kind of risk, and no unproven player is or ever will be. Also, the league didn't "ruin his dream". An unfortunate set of circumstances may have delayed it, but there's still plenty of room for a happy ending.
  5. Anybody else chuckling at how much fun Brady's next press conference is likely to be? I know I am
  6. General talk maybe, but not contract or football-specific talk. The NFL does not like loopholes.
  7. Good news for him, but we still can't have any 'official' contact till after the 9th.
  8. What you're talking about happens with existing teammates, and relatively minor amounts. If it were done with big money and used as an enticement to bring him aboard, the league would go ape s--t.
  9. Based on what I've heard and read, I don't expect the team to take any hits on this one either. But I think Brady will. So if you consider penalizing Brady the same as penalizing the team - which is reasonable - then there ya go.
  10. Yeah. How sad that these women are going out there and deliberately getting themselves raped and assaulted Boy, they really stuck it to Darren Sharper, huh?
  11. Wonder if this'll be investigated by the police officer who works part time for the 49ers, like the first incident was.
  12. He wasn't an NFL employee when any of this happened.
  13. What I especially love about this story is the text from the Pats employee saying "Tom sucks"
  14. The NFL already knew the Patriots were cheaters. This time, it's not gonna be the Pats. It's gonna be Brady.
  15. Translation: We're going to scapegoat some low level nobody and try to convince the league that's punishment enough
  16. There are way more than four teams interested. But honestly, how often does the national media know anything about the Panthers?
  17. Co-signed Malcolm Glazer, Dan Snyder, Mike Brown, Jimmy Haslam, Mark Davis, Jerry Jones and the Benson family.
  18. Given where he was expected to go, I would guess every team that interested in him would be willing to guarantee the maximum amount that they can. The difference in the money offered is likely going to be relatively minimal no matter where he goes.
