Jonathan Stewart remarks on Lee Ward....
Mr. Scot replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has to meet a certain standard... Okay... Maybe. -
Over the years, I've seen lots of guys who looked bad early have fine seasons. I've also seen plenty of guys look great in camp and then tank when the season started. Not ready to worry just yet.

Fixed.

While I'll grant that his position on the roster is still listed as 'linebacker', would it not be fair to say then given the double duty he's going to be pulling, Thompson could be described as doing a 'position switch' also?

If they were good ones, they wouldn't be.

Why did you remind me of that?

We should have paid big money to keep Greg Hardy, and then signed Junior Galette too!!!

From what I've seen, he's best suited to the inside. And I'm glad he's there. The interior trenches are a nasty place, and success there requires nasty people.

No argument from me. And if they also happen to be big, ugly, angry sourpusses, I'm fine with that.

When the practice is no pads and the defense is limited, yes you do.

Fantastic technique. You can tell he's been well coached.
-
Also no pads.

Bent him back, but didn't get away from him. (in a game though, Oher might have gotten called for a hold there)

Visiting camp at Wofford/Spartanburg - just ask
Mr. Scot replied to Panthers_Lover's topic in Carolina Panthers
I had heard that fellow passed away. -
I've generally found that being a moron is far more likely to cost someone a job in the NFL than being a drug user.

You really believe drinking and driving is a common practice? Nobody's being holier than thou. What people are acknowledging is that a guy who was already going to have a tough time making the roster did something really stupid and probably cost himself what little shot he had (which, by the way, is nobody's fault but his own). The whole "it should be legal" argument doesn't mean jack s--t. It isn't, and it's against the league rules, and he knew that but he stupidly chose to do it anyway. Now he suffers whatever consequences come his way, and with no one but himself to blame.

I don't dream about being an underachieving bust. That's basic reality.

What exactly hs Hill accomplished to earn "slack"?
