2018 season, 2019 season and 2020 season are all in the books. 2021 is year four.
-
Last year's available quarterbacks included guys like Philip Rivers, Ryan Tannehill and that guy who signed with Tampa among others.
-
At least it's not like a few years ago when we had to pick between the Falcons and the Patriots.
-
Good grief! My first reaction to that: "My Lord, that's crazy!" My second thought: "Our GM is from Seattle"

Nick Caserio and Adam Peters are old colleagues. -
To be fair though, that was by his own choice. He could have ripped the Band-Aid off immediately. It's been done before.

Good question. -
With Marty Hurney... "This is gonna take a while, maybe up to five years. I ask you to trust the process." Scott Fitterer takes over... "We'll offer you the number eight overall pick, our fifth rounder and Teddy Bridgewater in exchange for Matt Stafford. What do you think?"
-
Of Tepper's ownership
-
Biggest thing for me is that going after Stafford wasn't a "process" thing.
-
I think they're in Washington.
-
...or is the owner who asked Panther fans to have patience starting to lose his own? From our friend, Ellis...
-
If you fail in the quest to secure a better option though, do you still get rid of him?
-
I'd probably have done a spit take.
-
Also FYI, the full terms of the Stafford deal, per Schefter... Schefter added that when they first started talking to the Rams, the Lions tried to get Aaron Donald as part of the deal. Rams said no way.

Guy makes a lot of sense about us and Watson. (Good Read)
Mr. Scot replied to Big Sexy's topic in Carolina Panthers
It could, but I'm not so sure it will. Honestly, if I were placing a bet right now, I'd put money on him staying with the Texans (voluntarily or otherwise). -
So Wentz has a preference (I'm gonna guess the Colts with Frank Reich) and It could wind up affecting what happens.
-
From Rapoport, Garofolo and Pelissero... The quarterback carousel has only begun to spin Highlights: Wentz trade compensation will be significant, but probably less than the Stafford deal (Bears or Colts most likely) Saints would like to go into the season with Jameis Winston as their starter and Taysom Hill as his backup Raiders seem agreeable to trading Derek Carr, but also might consider trading Marcus Mariota Washington is looking at options (including Alex Smith) but could be especially interested in Sam Donald ... No discussion of Deshaun Watson in the article and nothing too specific to the Panthers, but Rapoport and Pelissero do discuss Watson in this video (if you're a fan, you probably won't like it).
-
Rapoport confirmed that both the Bears and the Colts have been in talks about Wentz and continue to be. One wild scenario that's emerging involves Nick foles being traded back to the Eagles as part of the compensation package for Wentz.

Let's clarify again what "in on every deal" means and what it doesn't... It does mean we'll investigate every option. It does mean we'll be aggressive trying to acquire players we think are worth it. It does not mean that we'll pursue every big name / well known player because we may not think some of them are worth it. It also doesn't mean that we'll just casually overspend above what we think someone is worth. The plan is to be aggressive, but the plan is also to be wise. -
Tim Weaver & Panthers Wire ranks 8 QB trade targets (sans Watson)
Mr. Scot replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
All indications are the Texans would rather gouge out their own eyes than trade Watson. And again, even if they did change their minds, there are teams in position to make much better offers than us. Things could change, but right now I'd say anyone pinning their hopes on his being here is just setting themselves up for disappointment. -

At least for right now, that's not what they want. Basically, they don't want. Tom Pelissero reported that the Texans are still telling people that they won't discuss trading him. Their plan, according to multiple teams that have spoken about it, is to bring him back... period. They won't consider otherwise. Pelissero says teams are continuing to call and making offers in case they change their mind, but they say they won't and are pretty dug in about it. -
I'm actually trying to help him out, but I doubt he sees that. He's latched on to this idea that the Panthers have some kind of unique structure never before seen in the NFL. They don't. It's no different than what the Seahawks have been using pretty much since Pete Carroll got there. And heck, it wasn't a new thing back then either. It's actually been around since I can remember paying attention to those things. But again, he's stuck on the idea that it's new. Also believes that he and I are debating (probably thinks he's winning too) so he keeps spamming the same thing into every topic thinking he's going to draw me into a further discussion about it. I'm not interested. Neither is anyone else, really. There's not much use talking about it because he's got it in his head that he knows something other people don't, and because that makes him feel good he refuses to consider otherwise. So...yeah Basically, this is how he got one of his previous IDs banned. He annoyed people with that behavior to the point they started complaining about him. And he's doing the same thing with this one. I've tried to tell him repeatedly, just like I did with his old screen name, that he should stop this crap and just be part of the discussion, but...well, you get it. My guess: He'll probably respond to this post with more of the same.
