Gotcha Can't answer your question though, I look at what Jeremiah said in his analysis. Specifically that Bryce Young is still looking for "college open" as opposed to "pro open". The good part is that's the kind of thing that more reps can help fix.

That would tell me we didn't put in a claim...

Who's Damson?

I mean in a West Coast offense short passes are what I'd expect. The idea though is to have receivers that can take them and run with it. We don't really have that.

Is it time to have that "toxic environment" discussion again? -
I'd be okay with that...if I thought he knew what an upgrade looked like. Owners get criticized for not being interested in winning. I think truth be told, there are plenty who are interested in winning but have no idea how to do it. That was Jerry Richardson. Unfortunately, it also is David Tepper.

Not sure, though I've said before I think it's possible Brown wasn't ready to be an OC yet.
-
Playing style, not height.
-
That's a possibility. I'd certainly ask though

I mean, this season's not going anywhere. What's the point? The only thing of any practical value that you're really going to get out of the rest of this year is player development, especially for Young. I just don't see anything to be gained by sitting him.
-
Don't know if it's a panic move. Might be a little controlling though. Playcalling isn't as simple as just picking a play to run. You have to know situational football, how to use plays to set things up, etc. Brown might not have enough experience to understand those factors. I can see taking it away from him for reasons like that. That said, part of the idea was to free Frank up to concentrate on other things. He now loses that benefit. And realistically, while it might have been better with Reich, it wasn't exactly great either. I was really hoping he'd give it to Caldwell. He's not only got experience doing it but a record of success.

Also... Would rather have seen Mayes or Jensen get a shot there...

Well, I think everybody agrees that something is going to change this offseason. General thought is that it won't be wholesale. So basically, you have to make the effort. Who knows? Maybe you get it right. Or maybe you make it worse, but either way...

Well one thing about our record right now, if we want somebody on waivers, we'll get 'em

Not a fan... If you're going to take it away from Thomas Brown, okay. But give it to somebody else. Lord knows there are experienced guys on staff (Jim Caldwell, for example).

There's a lot worse things than castoffs. Plenty of good coordinators and assistants get picked up because their last boss was fired.

How many "retread" head coaches actually pan out?!?
Mr. Scot replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean, you can debate retread vs rookie, offensive vs defensive, college vs pro and any number of factors, but the bottom line is it just comes down to finding the right guy. It is true that some guys who fail in one situation thrive in another. Maybe that's because they weren't the problem or perhaps it just wasn't an arrangement that worked. There certainly might be trends, but you make a mistake if you sort everybody in a certain situation into one pile. -
Lots of this kind of talk yet to come...

That's my expectation...

That would have been titled "Dancing with the Dimwit"

I could go out and watch a bunch of guys building a dam too. Doesn't mean I understand what I'm watching Gantt has given some hints that they may be changing things up on the line a little bit. My guess is that may be what's sparking the interest. -
Basically Tepper pursued Watson until Watson threatened to come between him and the one thing he loves more than anything else. Money
