  1. That should turn out to be a side benefit of picking Fitterer.
  2. Assistant GM would be a promotion for Morgan. Teams were able to refuse us permission to interview guys last year because we weren't offering a position that included roster control. The NFL changed some of those rules for this year because the Patriots kept screwing guys like Nick Caserio and Monti Ossenfort out of better opportunities, but I don't know if those changes would affect this sort of thing or not.
  3. Hadn't thought about that. Morgan and Kuechly in the same front office? That's intriguing.
  4. I've heard speculation that his interviews have gone poorly but I really don't know how seriously to take that. Could easily be bullsh-t. What is valid though is that working under a coaching genius has hurt a lot of guys' prospects in the past. Is that fair? Probably not, but it's at least somewhat understandable. Specific to Reid though, he has a good coaching tree but guys like Matt Nagy and even Doug Pederson probably aren't exactly helping Bieniemy right now.
  5. Relevant to Brady and anybody else interviewing for the Eagles job the team according to Mike Garafolo, the team is making clear to all their interviewees that they want Carson Wentz back next season. Makes me wonder if they planted try and deal Jalen Hurts.
  6. I know some people think that call was on Pete Carroll. Don't really know, but it's possible. One thing I do know: Before that game, Bevell was a rockstar who was getting head coaching looks. Since then, he just hasn't been the same. It makes me wonder if that loss broke him somehow.
  7. It likely ain't gonna be to San Diego. Brady's prospects are dwindling. He's down to the Texans and the Eagles and the Texans might be wanting Bieniemy to placate Deshaun Watson.
  8. Hate to hear that. I have some friends in similar situations.
  9. Heh That was my first Draft. Every year after that when my friends and I got together to watch it, as soon as they'd introduce him we'd all say "Who in the hell is Mel Kiper Jr?"
  10. I'm not in that area but best wishes and best of luck to you both, JR.
  11. That sounds like a lot of work.
  12. I'm proud to say I'm currently in the best shape I've been in since yesterday.
  13. To be fair, people are going to do what they're going to do regardless. It's kind of like driving. When your health and survival are partially dependent on other people being smart, watch out. Side Note: I've been to Georgia a couple of times. Dated a girl who was originally from Winder. We visited there once and it seems like a nice place. Can't ever live there though, for... legal reasons
  14. I've never understood that practice. I mean, what do Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks and Adriana Lima know about virology anyway?
  15. My living doesn't depend on me running a business, but I feel for the people who do. It's gotta be really tough.
  16. Reality is that even if infections are significantly reduced, a lot of people are going to be paranoid for the rest of their lives (especially people with underlying conditions). The US was already becoming a somewhat germophobic culture anyway, but after this I expect a pretty heavy portion of the population will be looking at Adrian Monk as a role model.
  17. I saw someone talk about how many people who grew up during the Great Depression lived the rest of their lives hoarding and pinching pennies just in case something like that happened again. They wondered if this generation would respond similarly to the virus issue. I'm honestly not sure. It certainly has the potential to have a lasting effect like that, but given the short attention span people have today, I'm not absolutely convinced it will. Milady and I decided our plan is to embellish the stories we tell to future generations. I'm gonna spin yarns about having to fight my way through grocery aisles for a single pack of toilet paper.
  18. A Chicago guy helps explain social distancing...
  19. Really sorry to hear. Best wishes.
  20. Well hey, at the time they had both come up big in championship games. Maybe if you could sign them both solely for a big game, you'd have something
  21. Yellow flecks all over my car... Oh, goody. It's that time of year again.
  22. Recalling a running gag on the Huddle...
