  1. Vermeil built a hell of a staff in Saint Louis. He had a good number of former head coaches working for him.
  2. Well there was that one time... Part of me wonders if McDaniels would see the call from Tepper and say, "No thanks. You guys blew me off for Matt Rhule so screw you"
  3. If she'd just stay out of the way and let good football people handle things, she'd be a 100% improvement over her husband.
  4. To a point. Breer is correct that he did also win with guys like Cassel and Brissett. Hell, even Mac Jones looked better when McDaniels was running their attack. The man does know offense. I don't think anybody would deny that. McDaniels to me is a lot like Hue Jackson. They're both really good offensive coordinators but terrible head coaches. They also both have really...unusual personalities
  5. To be fair, how much does her husband know? That's the thing that gets me about the Nicole Tepper jokes. It's not like her husband is some football genius.
  6. Gotcha Can't answer your question though, I look at what Jeremiah said in his analysis. Specifically that Bryce Young is still looking for "college open" as opposed to "pro open". The good part is that's the kind of thing that more reps can help fix.
  7. That would tell me we didn't put in a claim...
  8. I mean in a West Coast offense short passes are what I'd expect. The idea though is to have receivers that can take them and run with it. We don't really have that.
  9. Is it time to have that "toxic environment" discussion again?
  10. I'd be okay with that...if I thought he knew what an upgrade looked like. Owners get criticized for not being interested in winning. I think truth be told, there are plenty who are interested in winning but have no idea how to do it. That was Jerry Richardson. Unfortunately, it also is David Tepper.
  11. Not sure, though I've said before I think it's possible Brown wasn't ready to be an OC yet.
  12. That's a possibility. I'd certainly ask though
  13. I mean, this season's not going anywhere. What's the point? The only thing of any practical value that you're really going to get out of the rest of this year is player development, especially for Young. I just don't see anything to be gained by sitting him.
  14. Don't know if it's a panic move. Might be a little controlling though. Playcalling isn't as simple as just picking a play to run. You have to know situational football, how to use plays to set things up, etc. Brown might not have enough experience to understand those factors. I can see taking it away from him for reasons like that. That said, part of the idea was to free Frank up to concentrate on other things. He now loses that benefit. And realistically, while it might have been better with Reich, it wasn't exactly great either. I was really hoping he'd give it to Caldwell. He's not only got experience doing it but a record of success.
  15. Also... Would rather have seen Mayes or Jensen get a shot there...
  16. Well, I think everybody agrees that something is going to change this offseason. General thought is that it won't be wholesale. So basically, you have to make the effort. Who knows? Maybe you get it right. Or maybe you make it worse, but either way...
  17. Well one thing about our record right now, if we want somebody on waivers, we'll get 'em
