  1. I'd agree. Nick Caserio might not, though. Remember, there was a time in New England when Garoppolo was so popular there was talk of moving on from Brady.
  2. Garoppolo. Worth remembering that he'd also be someone Caserio is familiar with.
  3. Also, if we're talking Charlotte locations, it's worth remembering that at some point down the road practice is going to be happening in Rock Hill. Players will be traveling to practice facilities far more frequently than they'd be going to the stadium.
  4. What I remember from my last visit there... Granted, I'm not a young man.
  5. If the Texans were insistent on getting him out of the AFC altogether, then I'd say the 49ers probably move to the top of the list. I don't know if that's going to be a priority though. No way they trade him to somebody within their division, but within the conference? That seems possible.
  6. I don't even know if it's Easterby as much as it is McNair. Obviously, they can limit Easterby's influence (and reportedly have) or just outright fire him, but you can't fire the owner.
  7. He might also believe that he and Robert Saleh are a winning combination.
  8. The O-lne absolutely was that bad. Bridgewater having a quick release hid a lot of issues.
  9. Getting back a Young quarterback may at least help them somewhat save face. That said, no matter what they get back for him, trading away Watson is going to be a wildly unpopular move if it happens.
  10. I don't really think I'd trade one second rounder for him, much less two.
  11. You can extrapolate somewhat based on his dissatisfaction with Houston. He's paid a boatload of money, but the team's not winning. That would make me think winning is at least something of a priority. Clearly, ownership by non-morons would be nice too.
  12. If he goes to Miami, pretty good chance Tua is part of the trade package.
  13. The first thing that always comes to mind for me about Johnson is how he held on to Rex Ryan because he liked his bravado. That apparently somehow made up for the fact that they were losing.
  14. The city? No. The team? Shanahan's system and a Super Bowl ready roster. Both Miami and San Fran have old friends of Texans GM Nick Caserio in high places.
  15. Or San Francisco, given that they can appeal to both Watson and the Texans.
  16. To be fair, we don't really know if they'll remain dysfunctional now that Gase is gone.
  17. ...which is exactly the kind of thing you think about when you just lost a championship game. "Hey guys, imagine if you'd have taken somebody that we could have used this year." It's honestly a pretty valid point.
  18. I get that. As to the Jets, it was reported that he wanted the Texans to go after Robert Saleh but they didn't. Yeah, they've been a dumpster fire, but they've got a new head coach and a GM that's only been there a year plus the spotlight of being in New York. And of course, the star player attitude is frequently "sure they're bad, but they don't have me".
  19. Colts are a divisional opponent so that'd be a pretty tough sell to the Texans.
  20. Jonathan Jones said it would probably take picks plus McCaffrey plus Brian Burns.
  21. San Francisco. Watson in Shanahan's system could be something to watch. And while I know what fans think about them, I wouldn't discount the Jets.
  22. I get that, and it's not like Rivera and his staff were ever known for winning the second half adjustment game. That said, I remember being concerned about his second half performances those first few years. He got past it though, so that was good.
