    I'd say that's probably accurate. Next season would reasonably be expected to be the bigger deal since that's when we'll have a lot more cap space.

    Amusingly enough, despite statements indicating that we'd be taking our time, the Panthers are the first team to announce a deal with another team's player in both the legal tampering period and the official opening of free agency

    With the deadline passing, the agreements can now become official. Also means that Efe Obada is now an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team (like Buffalo or Washington).

    I think McClain said a while back that they weren't interested in Bridgewater.

    Yep, and new GMs frequently don't see players quite the same way prior GMs did. Sometimes that's a good thing for the player, but often it's not.

    They could be counting on the climate in the wake of #metoo and such. And of course, who hears the case is a huge deal.

    Yeah, I think picking him was a poor choice. I'd say the electronic stuff is probably the biggest deal here. If it's vague, probably nothing. If it backs up her story though, yikes!
