  1. I'm not a big fan of Cole Spencer, but Adrian Wilson joined the front office this year and I'd have more confidence in him overseeing drafts. Previously wished they'd lure Lake Dawson away from the Bills (Morgan would be well acquainted with him) but I don't know if that's going to happen especially since I think he got a promotion in Buffalo. If things stay as they are, I'd love for the Panthers to try and reach out to Scot McLoughan. He drank his way out of the GM job in Washington, but Seattle's best drafts happened while he was on board. If we go in another direction, the first guy I'd call is Will McClay in Dallas. They've drafted pretty well under his watch. But any outside hire likely requires that Tepper agree to stay out of the operation. If Fitterer is okay with Tepper's interference, then he might not be in any danger.
  2. I would really really want to know about the dynamic there, especially with regard to how involved David Tepper is.
  3. The Steelers experience hasn't exactly helped him so far though. I would be extremely happy to see him hand the rains to Kevin Colbert. It doesn't even need to be a long-term thing, just ask him to evaluate and organize the current organization.
  4. Frank Smith Is the first name that comes to mind. One of the advantages you have with him is that he's already worked with a smaller quarterback in Tua, so that could help him with Young. If we're talking about GMs, the first guy Idy want to call Is Will McClay of the Cowboys. They've drafted consistently well under his watch.
  5. Multiple league insiders have reported it. Among them guys like Charles Robinson, Stephen Holder and others. Reich's statement that he had weekly meetings with Tepper made a lot of waves.
  6. Someone will be named the head coach, yes. I have very little confidence right now that it will be "a pretty good name" unless David Tepper makes some very radical changes to how he operates.
  7. It means he's unprofessional. That's on top of all the things we already know.
  8. Yeah, sorry but that's a really optimistic way to look at things. David Tepper has earned a terrible reputation around the league. Besides being known as a meddler and hard to work for, you've got the "weekly meetings" story that let everybody know what Reich was going through. Anybody that has good opportunities elsewhere will probably explore them.
  9. I seriously doubt Harbaugh would want to come here and have weekly meetings with David Tepper. Word is he wants the Bears job, and there's a pretty good chance he could get it. Belichick has absolutely lost it. Selling tickets might be the only thing he'd accomplish.
  10. They have to want to come here though. Mentioned elsewhere, for young guys a lot of the time their first shot is their only shot. If I'm a young, up and coming coach with options, do I want to hitch my wagon to David Tepper?
  11. Frank's agent has the ability to post on the Panthers official Twitter? To tell the truth, it wouldn't really be beneficial to Frank's agent anyway. Regardless of how it got out, the fact that it did is just another testament to how big a sh-t show Tepper is running.
  12. That story getting out likely hurts our chances of making a good hire as much as anything.
  13. I also wanted Dan Campbell. And to be clear, my preferred candidate this past cycle was Ben Johnson.
  14. He has to be willing to do this first. Right now, there's no indication that he is.
  15. Tepper announced it on social media himself without talking to the people who would be directly affected. What a sh-t show
