  1. The only cut I'm mildly shocked by is Jack Anderson. He seemed to play and grade out well this preseason.
  2. The guys playing right now won't be blocking for Bryce. They are battling for a practice squad spot at best. Lee may be the exception.
  3. This guy is a returner mostly, and he has familiarity with our head coach. You guys need to chill
  4. I'm not terribly confident I can tell what number the guy holding the trophy is wearing...
  5. Chark bail him out? Bryce was having to throw precision passes while he was blanketed in coverage because Chark could not get open. And Bryce was trying to make something happen. Chark was making highlight reel catches because Bryce was putting it in a window that only he could get it. The only receiver that was bailing out Bryce was Theilan. He was the only receiver that was able to get open or would try to fight back to the ball
  6. I'm sincerely happy to see there are still level-headed individuals around here.
  7. Seems like one team every other year or so lights up the scoreboard. It rarely leads to a championship. The Chiefs of a few years back may be the exception. The Dolphins may be about as close as it got last year, but even they fizzled out.
  8. 2013 Broncos and 2007 Patriots are the two that come to mind for me. Both Super Bowl losers, oddly enough.
  9. Who cares if your quarterback is jacked or not? Brady Quinn and The Golden Calf of Bristol failed miserably and they obviously hit the weights hard.
  10. At this point in the season he should have plenty of time to work with Bryce. Come training camp? Much less. But one thing that Canales should be doing as a first year head coach, is not trying to do too much. He hired assistants for a reason. Let them do their jobs. Canales can bounce around and insert his insights when he feels appropriate, but everyone knows that he was hired in major part to his ability to mold quarterbacks and wide receivers. He would be doing a huge disservice to the team, and to the career he built to get here, if he didn't allot time to his areas of "expertise."
  11. Lets leave the evaluation aspect to the regular season, yeah? Some of you look at a 5 second clip and prognosticate an entire season and offseason based on it. This part of the year is about footwork, route concepts, ball placement, and timing. It's running through the playbook. It's not reading defenses, adjusting protections, calling audibles, facing pressure, evaluating down and distance, installing situational packages, etc. All you can take from the clip is that work is being done, it was a well-thrown ball (over the shoulder and in-stride, on the sideline) and that Canales is happy with what he is seeing and is clearly taking a direct and on-hand approach to coaching. Anything other than that is projection of your internal biases.
  12. Honestly cannot wait for Bryce to go out and start cooking. It is going to be awesome.
  13. I actually like Bucky Irving a lot. I wouldn't be upset if we took him.... In the 4th round. Maybe the 3rd with a trade back.
  14. Panicking? If the Bills wanted Legette, they wouldn't have traded. They gave us a call as a courtesy to ask if we wanted the 5th year option for Legette, and we struck a deal. This was a business decision. Pure and simple. Bills knew they could get their guy either way. They asked us to compensate them for the 5th year option. Makes sense.
  15. Here's my prediction for Rounds 2 and 3: - We move back from 39 and pick up an extra 5th. We draft Mike Sainristil somewhere in the 40s - We move up to the back end of the 2nd (costing the 5th we just picked up) and take either Payton Wilson, Edgerrin Cooper, or Ben Sinnott (Likely in that order), depending on who is available.
  16. I like JPJ, but it would hinge largely on the medical. Same for Payton Wilson. But I think they really do like Sainristil. I'm not keen on taking a nickel in the 2nd round, but they emphasized needing "system" guys. If I had to guess, I think he is the target in round 2. But I hope they trade back a bit and acquire more draft capital before they take him.
  17. Yes to Wilson. Hell no to Shipley in the 3rd.
  18. It's gonna be Payton Wilson. I'm pretty sure about that.
  19. With all of these QBs going in round 1, pick 33 is going to be even more coveted because of who is going to be available.
  20. Once again, if he learned anything from that, he will sit back and watch it play out.
  21. Tepper isn't the GM. And if he has learned anything in the past couple of years, he will sit his fat, rich ass in the background and let Morgan do his job.
  22. Doubtful. I think we want more picks, if anything. But, if the wide receiver run happens earlier and more voraciously than predicted, I think we have to find a way to get in front of Kansas City and maybe even San Fran.
  23. How about Malik Washington? Guy was a monster on offense and special teams last year.
