    Overall 2 in PP Overall 4 in PK im pretty sure we are Since dec 1st - 1 in PP(by a country mile) Since dec 1st - 1 in PK(only team over 90%) The number two in both since dec 1st is Edmonton.

    Raanta getting the start… that said he’s 6-0-1 against the coyotes.

    I feel like he has to be with all this attention on Offensive side assistant/position coaches. Falling behind on the DC race unless we are locked for one from the current playoff teams is not smart.

    Gonna have to come out strong and fast. The Coyotes have definitely been a spoiler team to us in the past and they are an all around spoiler team this year.

    Ya, I figured they want to get him a game before the all-star. That said we’ll see if we morning skate ahead of a slightly earlier game tomorrow, I don’t think they’d put him in cold. Don’t sleep on the coyote’s though, they definitely have been a spoiler team this year. Also I don’t see us waiving Martin or anything I think we roll with three goalies for the time being.

    They’ll fall back to earth at some point. They’re SoS in the past 15 games is .477. Over 26 it’s a bit better. Though they don’t have that difficult of a schedule left in reality.

    I should also note, Raanta does not seem to be challenging that much in the crease. Tending to hang back in the middle or on the goal line to allow his flippers and glove do most of the work. It may not be noticeable when you just watch him, but compare his work to Pyotr, Martin, even Perets throughout the course of high danger shots.

    Agreed. Also he’s 6 years younger than Raanta which I feel like is still dealing with a LBI from early season. But ya Raanta side to side is way slower than he should be.

    I feel like Raanta plays better when he’s playing up to his competition in our net. When he plays multiple games in a row he tends to stagnate.
