I’m wondering if his oblique is acting up again. That would make sense why he can’t hit the net and if that’s the case rest the dude until the playoffs if we got the depth to spare.

Honestly I’d move svech back up to 2 for the Toronto game and if he’s still struggling bench him for a game or two so he can get his head straight. Doubt Rod would do it but… Put TT with Staal and Marty if Fast can’t play.

Yes he’s struggling right now but… Make of it what you will. Cory definitely putting things in perspective though. That Guenz stat stands out.

Better start getting Martin ready for some games. Washington is really trying to cause a stink about Pyotr kicking the dude hacking his glove hand from behind.

I hope Rod is at least doing an “optional skate” today for those that have been slacking but I doubt it cause rest…

If you want to go purely on numbers. Jarvis is a great open space shooter but that doesn’t necessarily translate to 1v1 without distractions, Netfront, etc. Perhaps he deserved a chance but I would have gone Kuz, Martinook, Aho, Guenz, Slavin last night.

The whole line has been poo, but so have 1 and 4 vs. Philly and 3, 4 vs the caps. We need practices. We aren’t playing canes hockey and instead falling back on flashy “easy” hockey. For real dude, we sucked in the past week or so minus the senators game, the Isles were not in it in their game and we took advantage of that. Like I said, these wild card teams are going to lay down. We weren’t valuing possession, we are grinding to our spots on the outside and we are losing a majority of the offensive zone board battles, while favoring them to give away the puck, either in ice or on the clear. I said it all last night, we could score against either Washington goalie. That wasn’t the issue. Drop of a hat could score. But we weren’t playing winning hockey, we were chasing the game the entire game. We desperately need a full practice but we won’t get one until probably Monday or maybe Wednesday. Easy hockey is not canes hockey and Rod needs to put a stop to this poo now. Everyone is way too goal/individual offense focused. It’s also important to note we got banged the fug up last night, hopefully Fasty and Drury are on call.

I mean the dude could have been out of wind, disoriented, assessing how bad the injury was, etc. That one’s on the refs, even if it was an attacking zone push by the caps.

Chatty and Orlov with the only defense on the ice. NOT. CANES. HOCKEY. Also I find it hard to see us taking Lemieux off the ice. I think if Svech is having issues still after Toronto, Rod needs to sit him for a game or two. KK or Drury is the other question. I think Drury. If we got dinged up forwards I think we need to continue playing Lemieux on rotation.

Pyotr definitely buckled down in the end… but this is also a trend… 4 goal game, 1 goal game(than 2 goal game), 4 goal game, 1 goal game, 7 goal game… we’ll see what happens against the Pens.

Even with the refs BS this game should not have been 7-6 or what ever it was. We failed to play canes hockey because everyone is too chaos. Gotta reign it back in.

Frankly I think Rod needs to bench him for a couple games if he doesn’t shape up V. Toronto. I also think it’s time for another players only(specifically forwards) meeting. We haven’t been playing canes hockey and it has showed over the past few games. Jordo, Aho and need to get the forwards back on track.

Well the ref was “doing his job” as prescribed by Toronto.

They better come with fire v Toronto. The last two games we have been absolute garbage.
