Noesen wasn’t meshing well on the Staal line in my opinion so it makes sense. Him and Martinook basically play the same role. TT will give 3 a setup man.

If Drury is centering a line I’d flip flop TT and Jarvis or even move Jarvis to Kuz and Necas to Drury. Both of those pairs have good chemistry. Can’t underrate that Finnish connection come playoff time man. That way if we need a boost in a series like Florida last time, we can push Jarvis up and create that flow change.

I dunno if his issue is more mental or physical or a bit of both… I hope Rod moves him back to 2 tonight but I doubt it.

2 in his last 2 games. But 2 in his last 5 games. It feels like that cause before Toronto he was taking at least a penalty a game for a 4 game straight stretch. NJD’s through Florida.

To be fair in his last 5 he’s only taken 2 penalties, one was an avoidable penalty. One in a game where the refs were calling literally everything they could on us. That said in the month of March he has 14 minutes as a whole and is second in penalties on the season, behind Lemieux(duh) by a long shot and 4 minutes ahead of Staal for the season. The majority(28/48) of those coming in November and March. The other months are between 4 and 6, which I feel like is average or below average for a month. Something is definitely off with him this month.

Toronto is gonna be no joke. We played the worst hockey we have in a long time against them in Toronto. I want to see a very conservative game tonight, we will create scoring chances especially with our additions throughout the game. We don’t always need to be trying for the flashy play or nice shot. Value puck possession and protect the blue lines.

Ya. Should be something like if you don’t cross the attacking blue line in a certain amount of time, fair enough to make a full change but not much longer, the other team gets the puck as a free line rush at the red line and the offending team can’t cross across their blue line until the puck crosses it. So basically the non offending team gets a free head of steam crossing the zone.

Fugging Florida let the rags have at least a point.

Thinking about it Staal is either basically shoots 10 feet wide or scores there is no in-between on anything besides stuff shots.
