  1. You don’t even know the half of it.
  2. China is already dealing with their second wave as of now. In northern China this time. SK is having some micro pop ups around... oh ya who would have thought, places where people gather.
  3. You really think Hollywood would let that happen?
  4. It’s not as much of a class thing anymore as much as it’s just not taboo. A lot of people like dog, cat, horse, etc. All the things we find repulsive in the western world. Ya it’s true a lot of poor people eat it because it’s affordable. But it’s not limited to just them. Never had dog or cat(knowingly) don’t ever plan on it(I imagine they would be like rabbit). Horse is fugging delicious though. Best tartare I ever had besides my homemade(from cows about 2 miles away) was horse meat in Switzerland.
  5. The doctors know if it’s a corona virus death. It’s a very specific chain of events that leads to death by Pneumonia from COVID. Imagine suffocating over the course of X amount of time(not a medical professional, don’t know the exact average timeline), then they knock you out and intubation you before your lungs shut down completely(hopefully). Then it’s a matter of either your other organs fail or don’t fail. There’s not a lot of guesswork in it. He’s right in instances like Influenza but also anyone with flu symptoms will have a test for COVID. Oh but guess what, if there’s COVID in the system(they can test the deceased still) it’s a COVID death. So it’s important to note that was the cause of what brought on ARDS. He goes off the wall though with “Jensen then told Ingraham that under the CDC guidelines, a patient who died after being hit by a bus and tested positive for coronavirus would be listed as having presumed to have died from the virus regardless of whatever damage was caused by the bus.” Then going further into the conspiracy theories hospitals are killing people just to get more money. Dude, everyone in the hospital is going to get a test if it comes back negative than it wasn’t cause of death. If it comes back positive it was, if Pneumonia into ARDS was the cause of death. You have to remember. Everyone going into a hospital for even non COVID stuff(IE: Injury, Pregnancy{spouse even if they are allowed}, etc) is getting a test. Because they can’t risk someone spreading it on a floor that isn’t a COVID designation, imagine what happens if the pregnancy ward gets an outbreak.
  6. Ya, I noticed that too. The flip side is the ones in Japan I watch are the opposite after their government finally passed the stimulus package. A couple of them too are starting to go crazy, I kinda feel sad for them. I’m not big on streamers though I prefer the food/culture ones on YouTube that actually script their monologues and edit content.
  7. More proof the executive branches screwed the pooch on this one. https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-how-denmark-reached-stage-of-easing-lockdown-restrictions-2020-4 “Denmark rushed to lock down before almost every other country. Now its response is so far ahead that it's starting to remove restrictions.”
  8. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/u-s-spy-agencies-collected-raw-intel-hinting-public-health-n1180646 “U.S. spy agencies collected raw intelligence hinting at a public health crisis in Wuhan, China, in November, two current and one former U.S. official told NBC News, but the information was not understood as the first warning signs of an impending global pandemic.” Umm *cough* As I’ve been saying all along.
  9. Look back through recent history.
  10. In this analogy the federal preparation/response would be like scoring a touchdown... in their own endzone.
  11. “But over January and February, agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services not only failed to make early use of the hundreds of labs across the United States, they enforced regulatory roadblocks that prevented non-government labs from assisting, according to documents obtained by CNN, and interviews with 14 scientists and physicians at individual laboratories and national laboratory associations.”
  12. I find it informing and relevant information as this person is supposedly the leader of our anti-pandemic effort. It’s too bad you can’t handle factual reality.
  13. It’s the truth. Can you handle the truth?
  14. That’s all @Icege I take no credit.
  15. Just gonna post this up here too.
  16. So your saying DC created COVID because it’s an election year?
  17. I emphatically guarantee if there was a different president at the helm. This never would have happened and we would not be experiencing what we are now.
  18. FIFY. The president is the leader of the free nation. A leader with no ability to take responsibility, thus a leader doomed to fail. We have known about this for a long time, we had ample time to prepare. Instead, here we are now. The people arguing with you here are trying to subvert this thread into a rightwing tinderbox, for obvious reasons.
  19. It’s already happening. Most people(who can’t understand the basics of all this) aren’t order any Asian food anymore across America. Read an article on it yesterday. Really depressing.
  20. That’s something the Japanese and Koreans have no American will ever have. Humility.
  21. False Hope isn’t Hope. It’s fear mongering.
  22. ““Whether hydroxychloroquine works in vivo is not proven for any virus, and in fact in randomised controlled trials against a number of viruses, including influenza, it doesn't work at all,” says Douglas Richman, a virologist and infectious disease physician at the University of California, San Diego. Hydroxychloroquine has shown activity in vitro against many viruses, including influenza and coronaviruses, but that has largely failed to translate into success in either animals or humans. In 2005, the drug showed in vitro activity against SARS-CoV, which is closely related to the current pandemic virus, but it failed to decrease viral load in mice, and clinical interest drifted away, says Christopher Tignanelli, a surgeon at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, who is involved in clinical trials of COVID-19 treatments. Although the existing evidence is thin, it is promising enough to warrant further study, says David Boulware, an infectious disease physician at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. “When someone is sick in hospital, we throw the kitchen sink at them, but we don't always know if it works,” he says. “That's why we need clinical trials.”” “These Paris researchers found that after five to six days of treatment with hydroxychloroquine (600 mg per day for 10 days) and azithromycin (500 mg on day 1 and 250 mg on days 2 to 5), eight of the 10 patients still tested positive for COVID-19. Of these 10 patients, one patient died, two were transferred to the ICU and another had to be removed from the treatment due to serious complications.”
