I think giving him an opportunity in Seattle is the best for everyone. If true it really sounds like rod told Ron, look this dude needs an opportunity on a third or second line. It sounds like he could get that there and it’s not like Seattle won’t be a cup contender like Vegas with this drafting system either. I really did think bean though, a young face of the franchise defenseman.

Ah, gotcha. I thought it was 10PM. Makes a lot more sense. If that’s the case. We got out sitting real pretty. Geekie gets a higher opportunity and we kept Bean, Lorentz and McCormick.
-
Have selected? isn’t it not up until tonight? If we only lose geekie I will be fugging stun. I like geekie but for us he’s a 4th liner at best right now.

Bean, he was a Francis project. Kinda telling we went Fast over Nino though…

Ya at this point I don’t think we afford the 8 skaters. We’ll see how many D they want to protect though.

Hurricanes may not resign Nedejkovic

not wrong there. -
Really not happy with 5 or 6. There was so much more they could have done with Sylvie and second gen Loki but it was pure exposition. I feel like there was no deep closure to either of their stories. The whole thing was cookie cutter. But I’ll afford marvel the opportunity to expand on where they are going cause all be it feige is a dick he is a really good story teller.

Confirmed second season according to the post credit scene.

It’s not about being a cheap ass. We have plenty of cap space to play with but we have a ton of people to resign including Svech and a second goalie no matter what. 4-4.5 for 2-3 years is fine for Ned prove it seal in the scheme of things. If his upper arbitration limit is 4.5 I wouldn’t be to worried. I would be worried if he’s asking for vas or price money and can get it through arbitration. He had one decently good half season, ABH is right. We need to see what he can do in a full season with a heavier work load. -
Don’t forget too Loki is suppose to have a second season according to the rumor mill and hints MCU execs have dropped. Honestly, it’d be dumb not to do a second season with the viewership it’s pulling in. We know Loki is suppose to be in doctor strange. I wouldn’t be surprised though if a second series of the show doesn’t follow Sylvia more though.

Back from vacation, talk to me about your training camp interests.

How much the D is actually buying into Snows scheme vs. how good what we are fielding as a GROUP actually meshes. -
I hope they actually have a purpose behind it though because if it’s just exposition I will be extreme disappointed.

Where can you find that figure? Capfriendly? -

Ya but what do you do when Ned wants 6-8 million? I’m not sure how high he can go with arbitration as an RFA but that sounds like the issue right now. -
How early is early?

Potentially but our pieces are solid and I feel like we can bring in more talent this off-season. I would rather keep Foegs if we can though, he’s gonna beast out next season where ever he’s at. But I think he wants to be a solid 2 if not a 1 and we probably can’t give him that here. Though I’m not sure he’d get that in Seattle either. If we don’t protect him he’s going to Seattle for sure unless we work a deal. It appears Ned may be negotiating like he won the cup where as the team side is like ya, you got poo to work on. I don’t think Don would low ball him but Ned also doesn’t strike me as a long term solution currently. At least if his mentality stays the same. He seems more of the Luongo type unfortunately in retrospect. We really need to find a solid rook who wants to learn behind Mrazek. But finding talent like that is hard as we all know. If Ned tones it down a notch and takes a reasonable bump in pay I’d be down to see what he can do over 2-3 seasons. Though I feel like next year needs to be a finals year or Aho may start to get restless. My biggest thing is we need to keep Paa around. I’d gladly sacrifice Hamilton for Paa at this point. He’s gonna grow bounds if he’s around this off-season. He provides that passive enforcement we’ve been missing on defense. If he settles in and gets comfortable I think we’ll see some serious active enforcement from him next season. I’m not sold on Bean either but he made steady progress this past season. I would not be surprised if we let Ned walk or go to Seattle. I mean we could probably get the Seattle first out of Francis for him at this point. Would that really be that bad? -
Tampa Bay: Back-to-Back Cup Winners

They have 17 people on their roster with and are the only team over cap. By 4 million they will have to expose a big name player which will help them clear cap space but they’ll be stating half a dozen rookies next year and still have to get rid of one more of their top players. I didn’t say they’d be bad. But their roster tricks are about to come bite them in the ass. -

They are screwed next year current talent-wise, with their cap space + the expansion draft. -
Ya, unless they tease him Kang isn’t suppose to show up until the next ant-man and wasp. So I have a hard to believing he’s the ultimate villain here. My moneys still on a Loki variant. Kinda disappointed with last nights episode beside all the Loki’s. Really just 99% annoying filler that really didn’t accomplish anything and the little bit of character building they tried to do fell flat to me. This is why I tend to not watch shows until the whole season is out.

Anybody caught this one yet? Gonna try and watch it tonight. Looks like it’s gonna be an instant cult classic.

NFL fines Washington Football Team $10 million
Harbingers replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
That would have required 24 out of the 32 owners of their main representative voting another owner out. Which would be a huge court battle and distraction for the NFL if they decided to do it. It’s pretty clear JR was ready to sell the team, was getting past up there in years, didn’t look like he wanted to pass it to his children or any handpicked successor. Was a lot easier for him just to take the massive check. Synder clearly doesn’t want to go anywhere and I doubt Goodell has the votes among the owner community even for something of this nature. They don’t want to start setting precedent, even if it is Snyder. In reality goodell is essentially powerless in this situation and he is lucky Snyder is going along with this “his wife is in charge” middle ground. If Snyder wanted to he could take Goodell to court over all this and win. That’s if these were Goodell only penalties. I haven’t read full articles on it yet so I don’t know if this was voted on or not. -
If Marty wants to come back on a team friendly deal I have no issue with that. But there is no way we are paying him vet 3rd line money. I do think Foegs is gone even being an RFA though but our rook depth is stupid strong. He’s gonna have a great year where ever he ends up next year though.

I don’t think we are going to get much harder under Rod. When ever we do the NHL shuts us down. None of the bruiser teams made it far besides Tampa this year. And they in the end can’t really be considered a bruiser team. Honestly I see why rod didn’t want to play paquette either. Id love to see us being Paa on full time so to speak. He provided passive enforcement and protection. We need someone who can add active enforcement but not dirty, like Marchand or Wilson. Not sure where we find that. Paquette was not the answer he was more concerned with a nut shot than actual protection.
