Idk who the stars were but Slavin needs a perpetual star. The way he can control the action with one hand on his stick, while never dropping it is insane.

The svech beating Igor goal was exactly what we needed. That was basically a penalty shot/shootout goal. That’s going to sit in his head. None of that empty net stuff where he can think, well it wasn’t my fault. Or the overtime goal in game one. That’s going to jilt an already very tired goalie.

I want to believe we take game 6. Igor is tired. I’d honestly love to say great job Raanta but you need a game off. Let’s see what you got Freddie(IF he’s healthy enough) and if worst comes to worse a 2 extra day rested Raanta and do game 7.

You may have missed it. He checked(off their feet) a rangers with his butt in the second while holding off another guy and trying to stick the puck out of a scrum.

That’s all cause svech never gave him any inclination where he was going to shoot. He tracked the puck in all the way knowing 5 hole was the game so Igor had to make a choice and he picked glove high.

The rangers have been all over our sticks on top and high. I’m honestly shocked even with the refs bias or what ever, that they haven’t been called yet. They are keeping it pretty clean and making sure they don’t get anywhere near our hands.
