    I feel like Rod wants system players. Every time we go for a decent trade splash it just doesn’t seem like that player meshes well. Since we didn’t get Timo I think they moved to a different approach.

    If he’s really wearing 6 inch platforms I’d call that obstruction. Not that I give a care if anyone wears 6 inch shoes. But sounds like this guy is just an ass.

    If there is no extension, then there is no way I’m paying what we were estimated for offer, much less what it was rumored we asked.

    For what it’s worth seems like a lot of jersey fans are getting cold feet after hearing what they might have to give up.

    Ponomarev and Niki are my untouchables. Drury, Morrow, Suzuki. I’m all good with. We need to cultivate our “2nd Gen” prospects. Most of our current 1st Gens probably won’t ever get a spot here in the next 2 years, they are our commodity at this point. Pono and Niki we need to cultivate.

    Ok Tripps question was did you shut out of the outside noise as a player when it comes to trading. Rod said “yes.” “99% of it is just that, noise”. Excellent question from Tripp for sure.

    Nothing solid. Just something to the effect of “I wouldn’t put to much stock in it, the years I was worried, it was the years that I was comfortable and like there’s no way, that I was traded”. Missing the context is ugh.

    Not sure how I feel about giving up Ponomarev. I hope it’s just Morrow and Drury.

    Interesting he would pick the rangers over us, considering it’s a playoff rental. Unless we didn’t pursue him.

    If we didn’t have an absolutely stupid schedule coming up. I’d say rest our almost entire defense. They’ve been the injury bug late in the season the past few years. I also don’t feel like we’ve been running them as ragged as we have for the past few years either.

    Or what Martinook had going on for the past 3~ years. I had almost written him off but he is popping on the Staal line.

    And if we let Fasty go when the time comes I will be very upset. The dude is just good. Not flashy but his grind game and two way is just impeccable.

    Really liked Svech’s professionalism there. He knew he fuged up. He apologized. That was pro.
