I thought I read we gave up 2025 too. I was mistaken.

It’s interesting Jalen and Raanta are in there after the game. Both without any medical gear visible which is a good sign.

Question is how many injured are we going to hold out? Fast was a non-skate(maintenance day) yesterday. Jalen questionable. Svech got sliced(or so I heard). Not the stretch to catch the injury bug. Got to make it through the next two-three weeks against all playoff teams minus one game.

Really makes me wonder how stingy the market is this go round.

That’s not as bad than. I was under the impression we gave up ‘24 and ‘25. This actually makes a lot of sense. Even though we gave up a prime tangible asset to do it. Fitts finally being aggressive(or more likely not being held back). Now we hold the keys and can milk Houston. If that other rumor is true. It is a risk. Only time will tell.

Something in me suspects DJ wanted out of Carolina though. Which also tells me both him and the coaches don’t expect this team to be a competitor next year.

I’m guessing we are hitting FA WR’s at this point or are going to spend a year with a below mediocre crew before fixing it next year.

Money puck is fun. I wish they had a version for the NFL. Instead of having to subscribe to one of the stat companies.

For reference we commit 8.0 penalty minutes a game. We draw 7.9 penalty minutes a game. Tampa who is #1 in PIM/g, commits 12.2 minutes a game. They are also 13.0 in oPIM/G The average is 9.2 and 9.2. So we spend about half a penalty less in the box then the average and 2 less full 2 minutes than Tampa. Of course when penalties happen is arguably the most important factor but that’s hard to put on a standard stat sheet.

We are still in the same spot in all situations averaged. We are also and it’s crazy to say one(26) of the least penalized teams in the league. Coincidentally we also draw the third least amount of penalties.

Not only that but both teams have to travel to NJ after their game’s on Saturday. Though the canes may go up Sunday since they won’t be doing a morning skate? I assume they’ll just get there and let the guys rest Sunday AM.

Was really hoping Washington could extend our cushion going into this weekend/next week.

Ditto. He’s been way too unpredictable in the past few weeks. Maybe the wolves and canes thought letting Rod get a bit of control over him could help. His game suffers and if he hasn’t fixed that 5 hole issue yet he’s not going to last long in this league. Hes a good goalie but his weakness are easy to figure out. Svech should take him under his wing and get him level again.

if he’s going to draw a fight he has to get Marchand banned for at least 3 games.

What goalie does he play tomorrow or Saturday? Because he’s going to pick a fight with one of them.

Do not like. 3 is my comfort spot for trade up. I’d prefer to stay put now and jump on game day if the situation presents itself.

When does Boston play next? It seems like they haven’t played in a week. Fugging Boston. Them sitting at W10 is really grinding my gears.
