The only peak goalie I’d be interested in picking up is Saros. We’ve never paid much for goalies under rod, go with the trio again this season I say, as Saros is going to cost 10M himself.

Give them each a half a million raise for two years. I’d say more for one year but we got too much to contract next year.

Ghost is going market no matter what. I feel like one of the two goalies will be retained(just a hunch). De Haan and Lajoie I’d be fine not even trying to resign. Kase is done… sadly. Stepan should be gone Stas should be retiring. We should be able drop Fasty an extra mile for 4 and be good. Jordan id just offer him 6 for 2 years or 8 for 1. On paper he’s not worth that much but he is so vital to our scheme.

Frankly we were one of the worst WR cores under Rhule. Reich should change that. But for now until we hit the field, our core is… challenged, to say the least. That’s where a smart QB comes in.

Brady and Pesce aren’t up until next offseason. That’s why they want to extend Pesce now.

I’m just worried Waddell is going to do what he does every time and lowball Pesce. This, this is why we actually need the cap to have increased like it would have. We wouldn’t even have to worry about spending an extra couple mil to keep a core player. Especially in this absolute trash UFA year.

I agree on everything but cap(and maybe OT), the cap is artificially low while profits are blowing the roof off of expectations. I don’t know exact what the math is, I’d have to go watch a THG’s video, but I think the league will be in this cap conundrum for at least 2 more off seasons. It could be seasons. For shitty teams in rebuild I get it because it levels the playing field for them somewhat but for anyone at the cap limit it sucks, and will push big market teams(Pitts, DC, bruins, etc) into complete rebuild. Which ya isn’t bad for us… but we are one season away from going one direction or the other. Also correct me if I’m wrong but I read somewhere vegas(I think) did the exact same playoff cap poo as TB did during their runs. Dunno how to fix that but we gotta play the game next year if that’s how it’s going to be played.

I wouldn’t say get rid of the cap. Just make the owners eat the Covid seasons instead of the players. Like god damn. Keeping the cap artificially low only benefits the owners and only benefits them for in the moment not long term. Also 43%… what a shitshow. A small market team who also had an area team in the NBA finals. Which were happening at the same time. No network slot. Horrible announcers, only on TNT(I think, I didn’t watch), Vegas who are are pretty much universally hated and a significant mismatch. I guarantee the Canes would have kept those ratings rock solid.

Good. That young man needs every rep he can get and every hit he can take. His mind is impeccable we just need to see his physical performance get into NFL shape.

Man I always considered max to be a scratch but I see your point. Drury is good and should be the anchor of our 4th line. pool id give a chance in TC, but man his play did not equate to the numbers he was putting out the last few season.
