Sounds like Tom may have had a hand in the Raanta decision.

I think this could be taken a couple different ways. To remind everyone else they bear responsibility too.. maybe they just aren’t cleaning it out until they know he’s cleared waivers. He was not at the morning skate today at all. The thought has crossed my mind that we lean heavy on Pyotr through the holiday break. Get Raanta some AHL time to build his confidence back up and if he improves bring him back up for round 2. If he’s not than reassess the situation.

All of 11 games in the professional circuit… ECHL level. 5-5-1 on a 14-7 team. It should be noted the they have given up the least amount of goals in the ECHL with 56 though.

There is no way Nashville moves Saros. They are sitting comfortably on the playoff bubble right now. The only way I could see it is if it was a deadline move if they fell off a cliff but even then I doubt it.

Weekes thinks the Arizona guy is the front runner, but honestly it sounds like he’s been poo recently too. This is about the worst year to have goalie issues. Cap not raising and the market is just awful for goalies.

From what they said if he clears waivers he’s eligible to remain on the playing roster for 10 games or 30 days consecutively before we have to move him off of it. We however cannot reassign him back if we move him without activating him again.
