Necas is confirmed in. I’m a lock for Necas.
-
Honestly, I think Kochetkov and Raanta in the playoffs would be fine. But like I said in the above post Marc Andre Fleury may be on the rental shelf and if Freddie isn’t coming back we could swing that salary cap-wise. My biggest concern is MAF would have to be 1B if we are really trying to develop Pyotr this season. Not sure he’s willing to do that if he is on the rental shelf for the playoffs.

Did not realize short term could be retroactive. Still though. Play Perets if you have to.
-
If Necas is back in(it’s projected he is) I’m going Necas. If he’s out still I’ll go Svech.
-
Fug me. We just IR’d Pyotr. So that means the earliest he could return is next Saturday vs. the Yotes. Or after the break with Vancouver in the house… So we have Red Wings, Minnesota, Bruins, and devils at least With Raanta/Martin/Perets, possible the Yotes too. With a back to back Boston and Devils and we are looking like we are gonna trust a JAG either in Boston or vs. the Devils. Just fugging play Perets. Picking up a JAG is blah.

Weird move, maybe just want to give the guy a look? I saw Friedman was speculating we might try and get Flowers(MAF) after the break, Colorado in on the mix on that one too since Minnesota is probably going to be below the playoff line. That’s a rental we could probably swing but I see two issues with it besides the fact we’d probably have to give up a player(Necas) since no we are not trading Nikishin’s rights(and yes everyone has been asking for him. Literally the entire NHL would probably give us a 1st first round pick and their star player and their first born child to get this kids rights in the NHL. Honestly that’s probably why we haven’t made in blockbuster trades over the past few years. Cause everyone adds him in their deal.) First off Flowers is a 1A goalie, I’m not sure how that would jive with how we are progressing Pyotr. We a definitely putting him in a position to be our 1 for years to come. Yes, Flowers could probably coach him a whole lot though. It would also mean Freddie would be done for the season. Two, Flowers has been incredibly inconsistent in the playoffs dating back to the Golden Knights. (Yes I know he has three cup wins already before that.) But in the past like 5-6 years he’s fallen off, his numbers have been good up, until last year, but his definitely in his waning years playoff-wise. Perhaps our D could help alleviate his problem.

I agree. But this is still a weak division. He thrives on weak divisions and you know the nfl is going to give him a shot at a final ring send off. Cause that’s just what they do.
-
I did not. My bad.
-
No. He’s still working solo before practice. If I had to guess I’d say the Wild on Sunday, with the outside chance of Boston Wednesday. He’s has concussions before recent enough so it’s highly doubtful he comes back in a week~. Sunday is the safe bet. Thought I posted an update in the general forum.

Saving this just in case for posterity sake.

So apparently Kochetkov skated before practice yesterday. I’m not sure if we skate today or if it’s gonna be an off day. I feel like we probably won’t see him until the wild or in Boston though since he’s had prior concussions and he isn’t skating with the team yet.

Center is crucial. We need to draft a stud center in the second if there is one on the board this year.
-
As welsh said above. I’ll be testing it out Friday. If it works bye bye Bally Subscription.
-
Oof. One of our prospects took a definitely intentional looking skate to the face in the KHL. No blood seen so I’m going to post it.

There isn’t enough grit on the 4 line there. Yes Noesen is grit but KK is snake bit. I think putting Fasty on 4 was probably the smartest move of all season but I think shifting him to 2 may fix things.
-
One thing that I will say was telling. I don’t think Rod has any faith in our second line. Fasty should have been moved back to 3 after their 3rd goal. And Noesen to 4 with our 2 not playing at all.

Our dynamic players didn’t get their pregame nap.

Like we did to the aging pens. Then we play stretch the goalie game. But we never got ahead of our game besides the Martinook goal. We just kept reverting to bad habits. On both offense and defense.
