    He needed to challenge more. He was sliding back because he was worried about the 2v1. If he had been at the top of the crease solid instead of drifting back it would have bounced harmlessly off his pad. Not saying that’s all his fault cause that was a give away. But he really needed to stay at the top of the paint there and trust Slavin.

    Aho had no shots against the stars through 4.2 periods… per the broadcast(trip says 5 but we are in the fifth period). 1/1 Aho.

    If I’m not mistaken they were our last loss… that was a freak bounce though. We just need to build sustained Ozone time in the second and stop it with these rushes and rushes back. Forecheck! Even if you shoot less.

    Pyotr tonight, Chatty missing his third game in a row. Didn’t have a yellow on during the optional skate but maybe cause it was a goalie oriented optional skate.

    So no morning skate but there was an optional skate with Chatty, Lemieux and all FOUR goalies.

    Looks like the stars have two emergency call ups for tonight.

    No morning skate, probably Pyotr tonight and Spencer tomorrow for the back to back. We’ll see.

    Speaking of stats… since the players only meeting.

    I know one of the papers did a peace where he wants to play to continue his career… but this season we need that 7th D. Just in case.

    Rod is reserved on this one. Doesn’t curse cause the kids… but you can tell he’s still coming down from nerves.

    They called it like a playoff game. If Staal didn’t draw blood I don’t think they would have called that. That said I agree on Martinook and Turbo. Turbo was major safety. His head bounced twice. They should have called the second one that hit Martinook for consistency.

    I tip my hat to TDA. He played a solid game last night. Seems like he’s a lot better now, and also not paired with Orlov. That said he played a lot of last line defense last night and didn’t let them get behind him once by my count. Edit: here is the stat card too.

    To be fair it sounds like he was just put on IR and not LTIR, plus it’s a lacerated spleen.

    11 minutes left? How soon before Isles fans start calling for Roy’s head. Though I don’t think the team on the ice and Roy jive at all.
