We don’t need the 3rd scoring threat of Jarvis on 1. We need someone like TT that can feed our scoring threats of Guenz and Aho where they need the puck to create high danger. Most particularly Guenz who is not getting good scoring chances at all. Kuz can feed Jarvis on 2. Drury can feed(and skate with) Necas on 4. And of course 3 is there to do what the Staal line does. Im just hoping Rod is saving those line combos for the playoffs and hasn’t completely decided not to use them.

Guenz - Aho - TT Svech - Kuz - Jarvis Martinook - Staal - Fast Noesen - Drury(KK) - Necas I’m tell you. Those are the lines that will work and produce the most in all facets of the game. Then if we need a boost bump Jarvis or Necas up to 1 during the game. Those are line that will create mismatches. We don’t need the 3rd scoring threat of Jarvis on 1. Soooo can we shoot anywhere besides glove side high now? Not every goalie has the same weaknesses as Bob and Igor.

Furlatt is generally good to us(and Detroit), Dunning is generally even to both, with a lesser home team record than Furlatt. Both 7.-7.5~ penalties a game which is middle of the pack(as both are in most stats). So I’ll say bad calls line is 2.5 though perhaps 3.5 may be better suited since we all have home team bias.

What’s up with the capitals this year, that’s the third or 4th player right? DC cocaine just too embedded in the locker room?(not suggesting Bear was doing coke). Glad to see the caps taking responsibility and sending their guys to receive assistance for what ever the issues are though.

Necas will play despite missing practice. Fast is still out. Obviously Freddie’s net.

Would almost rather we start Lemieux somehow to deal with Fabbri… Noesen may be on dropping the gloves duty again.

Also no morning skate but I’d say Freddie is the safe bet.

To be fair they have given up 11 goals in the past 2 games Pytor has started. Freddie has only allowed 3 in 2 starts. Also to be fair to Pyotr he gave up 9 goals in the two games as 2 were empty netters.

That’d take a miracle.

I think Aho/Jarvis are a bit of a red herring. They always go in spurts but there was reasons Jarvis was dropped off one when his production slowed/disappeared. Perhaps playing with Staal has fixed some of those tendencies for Jarvis but we’ll see. If 1 can’t sustain a forecheck TT > Jarvis for 1. Even if it is a high flying line right now. In the playoffs we need forecheck with a dash of high flying generation, not the other way around.

I hope this is more of a training exercise unless it works really well. MSF for playoffs. Period. Mess all the other lines Rod wants but don’t touch our shutdown line.
