apparently there was some drama in our draft room
Harbingers replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t get the feeling it was a confrontation between Rhule and Fitts. I think if there was a specific player rhule wanted we would have gone after that player earlier when we could. Unless fitts has the final say, but I don’t see that with what Tepper wants from Rhule. It sounds like either Brady got frustrated or Tepper was “gimme a fugging LT” and fitts said trust the board. we had ample chances to get a starting LT and rhule/fitts decided to go corner/WR so... -

Tepper it sounds like. Who else would be pissed that means anything? Brady? -
Didn’t see that one until you mentioned it. He should get an until the end of the season suspension. Dirty punch on someone trying to help the goalie cover to start it. Head to ice intention. Head punches on on a guy who’s down. It almost looked like he was trying to cut him with the skates by “accident” too. Saw a perfect comment on twitter comparing the NFLs response to burfiect(sp?) to this. Can’t have the capitals missing him for the first series of the playoffs.

Blackhawks @ Hurricanes 5/3-5/6 Final Three

Good. Hopefully him tonight, Ned or Reimer Thursday and then let him and Ned split Nashville to get a good look at what’s likely coming. -

It’s going to create some bad blood for sure. But we do have two things going for us. 1) If the Lightning beat the Stars either game and Nashville wins vs the blue jackets Wednesday. They will have clinched the last playoff spot. Would rather the stars trounce the Lightning at least once though. So we could be playing a Nashville team that has already clinched and I could see both teams trying to get/stay healthy. Playing a less physically aggressive game for the final two of regulation. 2) there is going to be a 5 day-week gap between regulation and a possible playoff start for us unless they start us before the west is done and possibly almost 2 week gap before the playoffs if they don’t start the US first. Which is a blessing or a curse depending but at least it won’t have us stacked straight up against against Nashville back to back to back. -

Vegas has it much tougher down the stretch too. Both them and Colorado can reach a maximum of 84, however Vegas plays all playoff teams whereas Colorado has one game in hand and plays exclusively the bottom of the barrel minus one vs. the golden knights. -

Luke Kuechly has resigned from the Panthers scouting staff
Harbingers replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought he was exclusively FO/Scout. I guess I meant more of a assistant/position coach. I can see it being just a step back though. He doesn’t need the money he was getting and it was all normalcy for him at that point. -

Forwards Svechnikov-Aho-Teravainen Niederreiter-Trocheck-Necas Foegele-Staal-Fast McCormick-Lorentz-Geekie Defensemen Slavin-Hamilton Bean-Pesce Skjei-Hakanpaa Goalies Nedeljkovic Reimer Scratch: Gardiner Injuries: Martinook (lower body), McGinn (upper body), Mrazek (lower body), Paquette (lower body) Taxi squad: Ryan, Shore" Really interest read between the lines quote from Rod on Petr that may suggest Petr is more injured than though or something else. If we or the predators win the blackhawks are out of the playoffs so be prepared for them to come out desperate tonight. The exact quote is “At some point we got to get Petr going here, at some point, to see if he’s even in the mix. You know like we gotta gotta get him some games. And so.”

Chancellor Brind'Amour contract update...
Harbingers replied to Stumpy's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
By putting the stuff out there do you mean the article or the fact rod wants to keep certain guys? Cause I’ve seen articles from almost every team clamoring why they’d be the best spot for Rod next season. -

@Zod not a huge deal but if you could take a look at the hurricanes page tag font colors. They are pretty hard to read. Thanks. -
With time quite possibly but I’m talking in the next season or two. His weaknesses are going to take a bit to correct, plus his inconsistencies. Given time he could be a serious asset.
-
Technically i believe its closest to an A- Also would you really go B on the running back? He’s not really complimentary to CMC or Bonnafon. Honestly he sounds like an unpolished possibly worse Bonnafon clone. We needed a power back and we didn’t get one there. Not saying he’s bad himself but doesn’t fit our needs currently.
-
Agreed but I guarantee you Robertson from Dallas is gonna win it. Especially if they beat out the preds for the playoffs. Vezina he needs to be in the conversation but I don’t think he’s there yet. I tend to agree with Rod and Tripp on that one.
