It does bring a ton more hits for the server but I think splitting the difference and doing a game thread here linking it and bringing the guys down here that do want to discuss the games as ABH suggested. Idk, suggestions?

So far the Blues have released a statement. "Statement from St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Doug Armstrong: We have discovered discrepancies in Covid test results relating to multiple players. We have been in touch with and are working with the League to address these discrepancies with additional testing and expect to have further information later this afternoon. The League will provide a further update when we have more information. Head Coach Craig Berube and our players will not be available to the media until after tonight's game." https://www.nhl.com/blues/news/statement-from-blues-gm-doug-armstrong/c-324826924

"After opening the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a victory, the Carolina Hurricanes aim to take a 2-0 First Round series lead when they face off against the Nashville Predators in Game 2. Game 2 (4) Nashville Predators vs. (1) Carolina Hurricanes Carolina leads series 1-0 Wednesday, May 19, 8 p.m. Watch: Bally Sports South, Bally Sports app, CNBC Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app Tracking the Storylines Defensive Gems: Jaccob Slavin was a game-time decision on Monday, but he was able to dress and turned in a sterling performance, as expected. He logged one shot attempt, four hits and a plus-1 rating in a team-high 21:25 of ice time. Brett Pesce missed some practice time the week prior, but he equaled a single postseason game career high with two assists (both primary helpers) and led the team with 16:28 of 5-on-5 ice time. "We know how good [Pesce] is. You're talking about an elite defender. Playoff hockey is all about limiting chances, and he does that as well as anyone," head coach Rod Brind'Amour said. "Slavin is in the same category. Those two guys are as good as they come, and they're huge parts of what we're doing." Premiere Event: Steven Lorentz, who was one of four Canes who made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in Game 1, tallied his first career NHL postseason point with the secondary assist on Teuvo Teravainen's opening goal. Nedeljkovic and Jake Bean, who won the Calder Cup with Lorentz in Charlotte in 2019, also made their Stanley Cup Playoffs debuts, as did Jani Hakanpaa. Feeling Right at Home: Capacity at PNC Arena increased to 12,000 for the beginning of the postseason, and the building was rocking for Game 1. "It was electric. That's why you play," Brind"Amour said. "You kind of forgot about it because you haven't had it for so long. I think the guys were just like, 'Wow.' I think the people just needed something to cheer about. We had a year-and-a-half worth of just junk thrown at everybody. They let it all out last night. That's what it felt like." Since the start of the 2006 playoffs and excluding the 2020 neutral-site postseason, the Canes are 20-10 at home in the Stanley Cup Playoffs." https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/game-2-preview-nashville-predators-carolina-hurricanes/c-324806460 Lineup unchanged accord to RBA.

It’s what’s happened the past few years that’s why I did it. Keeping with tradition I suppose. It also garners way more hits on ads for Zod. Sorry I should have made a separate thread here linking the other. Everything besides game time stuff I will be posting here on the series thread. I’m going to bump the main forum thread at about game time but otherwise I’m cool with just posting here. Just trying to do our part to contribute to the ad hits to keep the huddle operating. What ever y’all want to do game discussion wise for us caniacs I’m down with. I can make a game thread before tonight’s game if needed or we can use the series thread.

If Florida don’t win game three I feel like they will tap out.

Stanley Cup Playoffs: Carolina Hurricanes Game Thread
Harbingers replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ya I caught a bit of that one and it was depressing. I don’t know Modern basketball at all but that team had zero cohesion. -
I don’t fear them either. I do fear the NHL HQ though. Hopefully they realize if they are trying to fix poo Hurricanes Vs. Avs is going to be their best Stanley cup. If there was two opponents that have not faced each other that would be fun to watch this season it’d be that.
-
And somehow we had what was it 9 straight penalty kills + the 4v4’s against FL the last time?
-
I’d prefer Florida. If TB knows they are going to lose they are going to try and injure our guys. Florida might try but I doubt they’d succeed.
-
I’m also still peeved for them for the fact Bennett took a game but McDonagh didn’t. The latters boarding was way worse.
-
Ya I was hoping FL would get their poo together tonight. Sadly seems like they are going to be a quick out for TB.
