We now have a game in hand on the rangers till the end of the regular season. Max rangers can get is 114. Max anyone else(Us, Dallas, Boston) can get is 113. If we win we’re 1 point back. We need the islanders to take care of business at MSG(minus Dobson). If that happens we control destiny for the presidents cup and home ice. As we already own the tiebreakers v. Dallas and Boston. If we manage to get into a position where it matters we’d own the tiebreaker 9.5/10 scenarios over the rags. fug the presidents trophy but also fug having to play the red hot islanders in a 7 game series. Even if we match up against them well. Back to the original question, I think you could slide 1-2 young guys in vs. Chicago and Columbus without much detriment. But will they even see ice time when we got guys like Lemieux, KK and TDA that need some tune up time?

Ya, unfortunately Vegas left the door open Monday and last night. Instead of facing a team whose playoffs hopes would have been crushed last night we got a team that is must win their last three including us and Dallas. They will be vicious.

Gonna watch some of the philly’s and rags tonight. I’m hoping that Philly treats this as their Stanley cup. The pens and redwings will be the game to watch though. Im really hoping if we don’t overtake the rags they’ll have Pittsburgh in the first round.

TT also got a maintenance day it seems. I could see both him and Staal not taking the trip. Like I said give KK and Lemieux some tune-up time and maybe put the rooks in for one of the last two games, standings depending.

Staal not at practice. He may not be on the trip if I had to guess, give him basically a full week+ off. Which would see KK and maybe even Lemieux getting some tuneup time. Nadeau and Blake practicing along with Morrow. Seems like only Ryan is at practice for outside reporters I follow so not totally sure if anyone else is messing.
