    Probably because he sees tribulations he went through in darnold. I think darnold would make a top shelf backup, he is not a starter though. Remember Sam never had a mentor QB to improve behind. His issues can be fixed on a backup level if he had a top line QB to sit behind.

    Something was wrong with Slavo tonight too. Giving up 2 is uncharacteristic.

    Necas needs speed around him. We aren’t giving him speed and forcing him to play grind.

    On the bright side even though he gave up 4 goals to the second best offense. I’m liking Lyon. His glove hand tendency, nah. But he’s far better than Raanta on quickness. That said I have no fugging idea why we didn’t start Freddie tonight. Ya he probably would have given up 2-3 early but once he settles in and we get moving in don’t of him it’s game over.

    Ya I was really not happy with our 3v3 combos we were playing to get to the shootout, not to win. Duclair has our number at least once a game this mid last season. Pulling Pesce for deangelo was just not a smart move. Oh well. We got a point and only have to play the panthers one more time before the playoffs. We needed Staal and Nino out there during overtime.

    I don’t think so. Not that I saw night anywho. I don’t think there is any trust in Raanta left. He gives up way too many soft goals for Rod to be content. He’s a good dude but I think his days as a cane is numbered. I’ll check the beat writers though and see if there’s anything.
