  1. Honestly they are just playing us hard. Reimer stopping some decent chances but we’ve barely had any high danger shots this game.
  2. Rams have more big names. Talent and depth? That’s up for debate.
  3. I’d much rather see a 49ers Vs. Bengals Super Bowl. The only reason I could give the Rams pause is cause Stafford deserves a ring.
  4. For those discussing OT rules. OT should be sudden death. It should never be changed in the playoffs. That said these favoring offense calls should go in OT as well. It should be a standard that the defense gets the benefit of the doubt in OT. I watched the six OT hockey game in the bubble. It’s fun. But it’s not fun. We don’t need college shoot outs in the NFL. It’s sudden death. If your defense can’t cut it. Get the fug out.
  5. Bullshit trip call on Tro. He was playing the puck and never touched the other guys legs.
  6. They are still going to run it. Just shows they aren’t invincible.
  7. In worried the NFC is gonna be a dud one way or the other and wreck the streak. But ya. We haven’t had playoffs like this in at least 3-4 years.
  8. Not to mention they have a speaker probably 30 feet away pointed directly at them.
  9. I feel so bad for the sound mixer having to deal with this halftime. It is horrible. People are getting fired as we speak.
  10. Nope and that was holding at the most. Refs got this in the bag for KC.
  11. Less than 24 hours later the canes are back at it again, hopefully they left some gas in the tank. Will be flipping between this and the championships. I believe Andersen is in net vs. a much tougher Sharks.
  12. Agreed. I’d rather have Freddy vs. the Sharks who still have some fight left in them. Hopefully Raanta will be just that much better he doesn’t give up 7 goals…
  13. We still have the same lingering issue from last year that if a goalie is curb stomping us we just can’t get anything going. Our previous losses before Columbus(honestly I don’t even count that one. We showed them up on New Year’s Day. They were going to return the favor come hell or high water.) Were all pretty close games minus the first Florida game, we had some fight in us. The only losses that I really frown upon our effort were Florida 1 and New Jersey. The trend in our recent games though is disturbing slightly. We are not our usual selves, I think it has to do with the weird schedule coming up and the Allstar break. We haven’t found that routine we had pre Covid break. I think if we can get through the Allstar break and IF Rod does a basic mini-camp and we kind of treat it like last season from here on out we’ll be ok. If there’s one thing Rod is notorious for it’s mid normal season slumps. So far we have staved one off for now. But you can see it in the players the past games. They are running out of gas by the end of the second period. We are on paper one of if not the fastest team in league. But the Devils and Ottawa skated circles around us. I mean hell, Slavin took a hooking on one of his classic poke checks yesterday. Which I still call as bullshit cause it’s Slavin, I’m pretty damn sure he touched the puck or at least was very close to its general vicinity before his stick came up. But ya, his stick did come off the ice before he was parallel with the player. You may be right we may just not be taking the little guys seriously, we may be putting all the effort into our big competition because as, “The Hockey Guy” puts it, we are just generally waiting for the playoffs at this point in Rods tenure. I don’t think Rod is the issue though. I think the players are just getting lax mentally. And when we face a goalie on his game, we basically pack it in after a period and a half. We are built to play with a lead, it’s worked so far, we gotta show we can play from a deficit(we could last season as long as it wasn’t Vas we were against) and we have to figure our #2 goalie out. Thoughts are disjointed sorry. Read your post earlier and have been brewing on it.
  14. Hey, when you are nearly halfway through your season for your first shootout, especially with how lethal our guys are in that situation. Not a bad thing. But ya we looked winded and slow. It’s not like we were in Denver. Idk what was up. Caught one moment and Staal looked like a 70 year old smoker. Dunno.
  15. Ol’ Tro. He had the five hole a half second earlier but he wanted to go low glove.
  16. I was begging for Necas(he’s due for a miracle) on the second shot but Svech came through. If it was me I would have gone Staal, Necas, Svech and then the on fire shooters. Great play by Rod.
  17. Apparently it didn’t work. Though I doubt he said much to them after that period. We gotta find the net past this goalie. I haven’t been watching closely so I don’t know how many high dangers we’ve had…. But it doesn’t sound like enough judging by Mikes highs and lows pitches on scoring chances. Bout to sit down to finish out the game. Hopefully Aho can continue his magic.
  18. Ottawa’s goalie has kept them in this so far. We gotta turn the pressure up.
  19. Right. Good point. Completely blanked on that. I’m surprised they let us go up for even a game, I was figuring around Christmas they’d change the schedule so there wouldn’t be any border bouncing, but I guess since it’s only one up and straight back to the states. He looked good when he came off injury before Covid. But Stepan is a hot hand right now.
  20. Kinda surprised we are going Andersen tonight. Figured we would have saved him for Saturday. I guess that means Raanta will probably be taking the devils. Is Martinook still in protocol? Stepan has quietly been having a very productive season offensively. I wouldn’t think we’ll have to wait much longer for 3 goals.
  21. Aho is a god. Svech with that calm.
  22. Holy poo. Andersen showing some teeth there.
  23. Balls. That one was on Freddie. His glove position is usually so good.
  24. Should have been a penalty shot for Lorentz. Hell of a tip by Aho though.
