Martinook is an excellent fourth liner. Why we aren’t putting him on 3-4 I have no idea. Aho needs a passing unit on 1. Which is Nino. He’s the only guy that can be claimed anywhere reliable to TT on the pass.

I don’t count our offense out yet. But the league wants to make sure we get curb stomped going through Canada.

Honestly I would have preferred we play Raanta last night.

I’d happily give up Raanta and 2 firsts to Vancouver for Thatcher. Or really what ever they are asking(pick or prospect wise).

Raanta is not it. We gotta trade. I wanted to believe but I just can’t. And we can’t ride Freddie for all 40+ games plus playoffs.

No TT tonight still. Sounds like we rotate the liabearity in to get him some game time.

That actually leads me to another thought though. Raanta should be in net tonight. But who do we put in net against Boston? We have the wild two days later and Florida four days after that. Do we go Raanta > Raanta > Freddie > Freddie? I would have a real hard time putting Raanta in against the wild but I don’t think Raanta has two games in a row yet this season(might be wrong), but if he did it definitely wasn’t against a top 5-10 team.

Tepper needs to modify Rhules contract.

I will say there was def goaltender interference though. A leaf pushed our defender directly on top of Freddie who had no chance play the rebound because of it. But I agree with Rod the refs wouldn’t have done poo about it so why even challenge.

It just sucks we got hemmed into our own end with the far change and couldn’t out past our side of the neutral zone for most of the OT. That’s something we are definitely going to have to practice mitigating. I would have taken the icing there just to reset and give Freddie a chance to glove a puck to get a change on the ice instead of just letting them change every time we kicked it out to the neutral zone.

Ya, he’s gonna get the book. I’d bank on the plaintiff refusing to press any charges at this point vs. not getting anything. He’s on video. It wasn’t anything close to what he claimed. He’s toast.

That was goalie interference. He was digging under him. Rod said nope, not worth it in the long run. He’s gonna use it as leverage.

I must say Skjei played that insanely perfectly. Poke check, settle and skate, poke check just enough to give Freddie the angle. That’s unusual for him.

For 90% game I’m fine with Martinook on the Aho line. But for these last two shift pop Nino up to the Aho line and give Aho a mini-TT substitute.
