  1. This tweet doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but make of it what you will.
  2. I’m guessing his lungs suffered extensive damage too. Even with getting his heart beating again and hopefully blood going to his brain that doesn’t mean his lungs were getting the electrical signals or oxygen in they needed to function. I don’t want to assume. But he could have had one or both collapse from the stress/oxygen deprivation/CPR. With all that gear strapped on tight. There’s only so much room in the chest cavity for the lungs to fill and if the gear impacted it that could have been an issue too.
  3. I don’t know about y’all but it’s disgusting the NFL is slowly quietly trying to float the idea that maybe the tackle didn’t cause this. I’m sure their legal team is playing it hard for when the lawsuits start flowing.
  4. Lemme see if I can find the quote from yesterday. From a local broadcaster so take it as you will. The big hurdle right now is getting him breathing on his own fully. If they can do that. Then they can try to wake him up.
  5. It wasn’t malicious, it was just football. It was a freak incident which the odds of happening are so astronomical on so many fronts. I don’t know how any one could blame him. Good on him for staying at the hospital.
  6. We are carrying 7D currently so we could go 11-7 if Max doesn’t go and Noesen can’t. I don’t know how the rules work exactly if they can dress him for pregame skate to see how he’s feeling and if not then roll with 7D?
  7. Perhaps but if Noesen(I think that’s who was injured yesterday?) is going to be out of a bit, I could see him making his debut.
  8. I don’t have the tweet in front of me but Hamlin is improving, however he’s still not able to breath on his own. Which is concerning.
  9. Or they are trying not to waste his eligibility games.
  10. Dunno I didn’t read the middle pages of the hot button thread.
  11. Oh ya KC would have to lose and Buff win next week. Either way Cincy gets the shaft.
  12. The best case scenario would have been if Denver beat KC last week. Bills forfeit and all three teams are at 12-4. Mini-playoff before the playoffs in week 17.
  13. What’s more is the hit has to occur at the exact few milliseconds on the up T.
  14. Bills aren’t the one that’s get the short end of the stick with that plan. All they have to do under t96’s plan is win next week and they win first. The bengals are by process eliminated though.
  15. Wouldn’t that eliminate the Bengals from 1st place chance at all though? I’m pretty sure in your scenario the best the Bengals could do is .750 while the worst KC could do is .764
  16. It really depends on so many factors and we the public probably won’t know for some time. They will keep him sedated and intubated for at least 24 hours, if not 48-72, even without any other complications to let the body heal, cool off and reset. The biggest concern is that so far the team, nor doctors have added stable to his critical condition status.
  17. There has to be a way they can void the game and not bias the seeding. Off the top of my head that’s difficult to do with KC’s last game already resulting in a win. There is no scenario though I can see that wouldn’t result in a team being artificially seeded though. If KC had lost last Sunday it would have been a lot easier.
  18. There’s a few doctors on YouTube I’ll watch occasionally. It appears the consensus in that medical community is on adults, if you aren’t breaking ribs while doing chest compressions you aren’t doing them right.
  19. I’m wondering if the protection was actually actually a contributing factor here. He was moving pretty fast after medical got to him which means his heart was restarted, but since they continued CPR I’m guessing his lung weren’t functioning properly. Same risk of brain oxygen deprivation applies. I’m wondering if the should pad unit exasperated the hit/preserved the hit position on his chest causing even more internal pressure that may have collapsed one or both lungs. I am no medical professional so this is purely speculation.
  20. Yep. I did manage to find a high enough quality clip that I think was after the first commercial. It was before the ambulance showed up, that definitely showed him move his arm under his own power. Which makes me optimistic they got his heart restarted in the proper window.
