  1. Lots of moves but still no OC… is the OC coming from one of the two teams still alive in the playoffs?
  2. Trust in Kane. I’d rather the rental honestly. We got Staal and Fasty up this year and I doubt either of them will command a huge contract. But we have our best defensive pair + Aho + Jarvis + Martinook + Chatfield the following year. I’d rather us rental out until then.
  3. Everyone thinks burns is going to be more natural in a 3-4 but we tried that before. He’s not. It’s like pulling teeth just to get him to set the edge in a 4-3. 3-4 it’s like he wasn’t even on the field. He really just wants to pass rush.
  4. Does he have any connections to the Philly coaches running a 4-1-6?
  5. We also don’t have the personnel to run 3-4. We’ve tried this before with much of the same personnel over the past little while. It always reverts to a 4-3 base. We are going to need a NT, a few more OLB’s(3-4), better safeties(I’d see converting Chinn to an OLB under a competent 3-4 NFL caliber coach) Burns is absolutely trash in a 3-4 because it’s like pulling teeth to even get him to set an edge in 4-3. All he wants to do is get the to QB. So if he’s still around… Im not saying it won’t work in 2 seasons. Just that we may have a historically trash defense this season while our DC gets all his pieces in play. My point is I’d rather see him run a 4-2-5 or 4-3 this season while transitioning to his system next.
  6. Oh man. A whole week without hockey. The boys better be rested and ready to go.
  7. I really hope Evero changes his scheme to fit the players aka 4-3/4-2-5. He’d have to entirely gut the defensive core we have and rebuild to be effective at all, which would at least a season.
  8. On face value one might say that. But if we want to see continued offensive results his staff on offense is far more important. Reich is not a defensive coach. He’ll trust his coordinator to do the best they can but he’s going to live or die on the offensive side of the blade.
  9. Ok, so now the most important piece of the puzzle. Who’s OC/QB and is Reich going to call or let the OC handle.
  10. End. Nobody to my knowledge during our brief 3-4 front used him in the middle.
  11. Nah. Jarvis is a keep. Especially if in 2 years Aho decided to move on.
  12. Will say the title is confusing… I was like, Teppers building a an office for just staff?!
  13. Is Rod coaching the metropolitan again?
  14. Let’s get to the actual games already.
  15. What the actual fug is going on. Hockey players playing on a golf course!?
  16. They also double their points allowed when he became coach, forgive me for not remembering the exact figures off hand but I think it was 449 over 227 or something to that affect. That’s a big difference.
  17. Since the forum is all the rage on QB’s look at his tenure as a HC. Absolutely porous defense, though I don’t know how much of that can be attributed to him. Perhaps with the base pieces he can do better here. Also like Rhule he tends to collapse late season. When football matters most. I’m hopefully we are going to get some fun(win filled) football next season but I don’t have my hopes up.
  18. And don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking Reich, at this point I’m just happy to be rid of Rhule. Just pointing out trends that could negatively affect his time here. I’d like a Rod Brind’Amour style coach here. But we are a few “football” generations out on that yet.
  19. QB Carousel. To start. His other big on paper deficiencies are more Rivera style.
  20. Let’s break this down step by step, not personality, How many QB’s did Reich coach during the colts?
  21. I’m willing to give Reich a season, maybe two. But he sure he’s have a lot of the same earmarks as Rhule.
