Huh. They are both listed as 185 on wiki, I assume the canes figure is more accurate. If Drury could bulk back up to that I don’t think he’d have an issue being a power forward. If you watch his play since he’s gotten back he’s physical. Experience I will give you though.

Also to continue my thoughts from the other thread. I’d really like to see these - TT - Aho - Pool Necas - KK - Marty Stasny - Staal - Fasty Jarvis - Drury - Noesen Or Drury - Aho - Noesen Necas - KK - Jarvis TT - Staal - Fasty Marty - S/S - Pool _________________________ Honestly, I think it’s ridiculous we waited this long this season to give drury a shot. The kid has fit right in, he plays fast and physical, he plays well in the scheme. Without svech for the rest of this season and probably the first half of next I could really see him stepping into Svech’s roll. He’s 2 inches shorter but weigh’s in the same as svech according to wiki. Don’t relegate him to line 4 get him up their winging for the top 3. Prep him to wing where svech would until he returns, then transfer him to a more elite L4 center when svech is back.

Also, I fully expect brand new PP lines in the playoffs/Florida. If we don’t it would be mental on the coaches part. Id like to see Skjei with Aho, Necas, Noesen, TT. Ghost, Burns, Drury, Staal, Jarvis. Though it you need another cycler on the second line swap TT and Drury. Our biggest PP issues has again been passing. We need to cycle the puck better or try a completely different PP approach, but a little late for that.

Any word on KK? He definitely tweaked something.

As he should be but he also needs to look in the mirror. Was it in the post game show or a clip online?

Honestly ghost has been fine in my opinion. A lot of our issues both offensively and defensively rests on the forwards. On the goal scoring front, I like what I’ve seen from the forwards the past few games late. It’s not like they aren’t going shots on goal either, which was a huge issue before, they just can’t find the net. That’s bad puck luck. Last night we were screwed by the refs on the net front penalty, there was no way that was a penalty. Don’t know if that is reviewable but if so Rod should have challenged. What we need for our forward coaching to be more willing to adapt. I get the “play our game” mantra. As it usually works and our game can be lethal. But when it isn’t you can’t just keep telling the guys to play our game. I’m not as negative about the playoffs as most around here. Our team understands it’s a reset of the season. That said missing svech is going to hurt. A lot. During the bubble playoffs we were owning Boston until we lost svech to that dirty play/rut in the ice. We need to focus on winning the last two. Right now, it’s Florida, Pittsburg or the Rangers for us in the first. The team needs to show up tonight and give some emotion back to this fan base.

Don’t sleep on the Sabres they are pushing hard for that second wild card spot. Pens and Florida have control though.
